In the end, Malachi was able to learn a few more things about Lily, David's girlfriend, and why David was worried about her.
Naturally, the apocalypse was the root of that worry, with something extra.
"So you're saying she's in Las Vegas right now?" Malachi asked to reconfirm.
"Yes, Dad. Because of an important family issue, she took a leave of absence from school to go to Las Vegas. Who knew the world would suddenly go mad and change?" David replied with quite a speedy way of talking.
Perhaps it was because he had opened up to his father, or he finally had someone he could talk about his thoughts with; David's worry started to really show.
"Hmmm," Malachi let out a hum as various thoughts started to flash through his mind.
