As Malachi continued to drive, a sudden loud sound echoed in the surrounding area.
Although it wasn't one that Malachi was familiar with, it was one that he could guess the origin of.
Is that a gun? Malachi wondered. He was unsure. The sound could have been something else, but one thing was that it was very loud. Another thing to note was that the sound seemed to be close.
It just happened that the source of the loud sound now seemed to be on the street Malachi was supposed to take a turn in.
Without further hesitation, Malachi immediately started to reverse the car at full speed.
He didn't know what was on the other side of the street, but the loud sound alerted him.
The loud sound could have been made by anything or anyone.
It could have been a human, a monster, or a zombie.
