After David went to stay with their family, Malachi and Leo were able to focus on whatever Specialist Brian had to say.
It wasn't that they hadn't been able to hear what the other party was saying, but their attention wasn't really concentrated then. Now it was a little bit different.
At least now, they didn't have to worry too much about the safety of their family. Also, the fact that David hadn't returned or any sounds of explosions echoed, even after a while had passed since he left, indicated that nothing wrong had happened. This thought made the two relax slightly.
Specialist Brian also felt the shift in the atmosphere. He couldn't put his finger on it, but for some reason, it felt like Malachi and Leo were now 'looking' at him. It seemed Malachi and Leo were now less cautious about him and his party.
