"The whole time during training, all I could think about was you." Oliver said, a shy glint in his eyes. "I couldn't get on my A-game, you know, because I was trying to make sense of what I'm feeling and..."
He took a deep breath before continuing.
"I did my best to make sense of what I feel towards you, and now I'm sure—I'm absolutely sure—that I like you."
Olivia didn't know what to feel. Yet, she was feeling something.
It felt like her heart was going to explode, thumping inside her chest like someone angrily rapping against her ribcage. A weird warmth was spreading throughout her body, as if she was going to catch a fever.
She tried to speak, but her mind was jumbled up beyond repair.
"I'm not expecting a response from you any time soon." Oliver assured her, saving her from the awkward gurgling sound she was about to make because of the mental block. "I know we just met--"
"3 days, Oliver, 3 days!" Olivia interjected.
