Realizing the situation, they quickly let go of each other's hair which had now turned messy. Both their cheeks were red from embarrassment.

Eloise cleared her throat and proceeded to arrange her hair that Leah messed with while giving Leah a side glare. At this point, Eloise knew Leah would be the death of her someday.

But as for Leah, she quickly picked up the nylon of groceries that had fallen off her hand when she tried to pull Eloise's hair. She then looked around for her soda bottle only to realize she had thrown it away while she was engaged in her little marathon race with Eloise.

She too cleared her throat to ease the awkwardness in the air but it still felt suffocating.

Eloise prayed deep in her mind that the elevator would quickly open and her prayer was answered because soon after, the elevator made a sound indicating it had gotten to their destination and they wasted no time to run out of it.
