"Are you guys acting?" Kayla asked looking at them with a captivating smile.
"You guys are good actors, show me the way to the dressing room," Kayla said as she pushed open the door.
Peter and the two maids put on shocked expressions, "She didn't get angry at us; we are saved" Was the thought lingering in their minds.
They quickly stood up and followed her.
As Kayla opened the door, she was instantly amazed by the interior and she opened her mouth in awe.
"This place is heaven on earth," Kayla said inwardly as she scanned the house.
The mansion was nothing short of an architectural marvel. Its opulence was evident in every detail. Pristine white marble floors glistened underfoot, extending in all directions as far as the eye could see. The grand golden staircase, adorned with intricate scrollwork, led to an upper floor that seemed to touch the heavens.
Above, a stunning chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a soft, warm glow over the entire space. The chandelier was a masterpiece in its own right, with countless crystals reflecting the light, filling the room with an otherworldly radiance. It was as though stars had descended from the night sky to adorn this opulent house.
Kayla looked around in wonder, and even though it was morning, the curtains on the closed windows restricted the entry of natural light. This choice of decor gave the mansion an air of mystery, shrouding it in a perpetual twilight.
"Why are the windows closed, making everything so dark? Perhaps the owner values their privacy," Kayla speculated, trying to come up with a reasonable explanation for the darkness that enveloped the mansion.
The interior was shrouded in darkness, with the main source of light being the chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Its soft radiance danced off the polished marble floors, creating an ethereal atmosphere.
The maids and servant who sees Kayla run like a rabbit who saw a wolf and those who mistakenly come close to her beg for mercy.
Kayla felt confused, "What going on here?" She asked Peter and the maids who showed her the way to the dressing room.
"Anyone who angers the boss woman meets a tragic end, but you are a good person, you spared our life" the fat maid with pigtails who escorted Kayla said with a smile. Kayla could tell that the fat maid is a talk active.
"Hmmm" Peter cleared his throat shutting her up and giving her a mean stare which Kayla was unaware of.
"We do our best to make sure you have a wonderful time here in the house" Peter said with a charming smile.
Kayla returned a heart-melting smile and Peter immediately flushed red.
"What happening to me, why am I reacting this way to the boss woman? She must have a special charm. I have to start away from her before I have my eyes gauged out by that devil" Peter thought inwardly as he avoided the smile.
This is the second time he has been captivated by his boss woman, he knows he will lose his life if this goes on.
"This is the door to the wardrobe" Peter said as he pushed open the door.
Looking at the so-called wardrobe Kayla was immediately stunned. The size of the wardrobe is so big that it times three of her room. The clothes here are for women and they are made by top designers, calling it a wardrobe is an understatement, a collection of rare and extravagant clothes that match its standards.
"I will be off now, I will come back when you are done" Peter said with a slight bow.
"Uhm, okay," Kayla said with a sweet and melodious voice that melted Peter's heart.
He felt the urge to stay but he knew staying was dangerous, he couldn't afford to continue staying near her since her every action seemed effortlessly enchanting and bewitching to him.
He quickly walked away, No runaway fits his movement.
"Let's select some dresses for you," The thin maid said to Kayla with a respectful smile as she took Kayla into the dressing room.
They quickly check her size measuring her body length, bust size and waist length.
"Would you like this dress" The thin maid suggested pointing at a blood-red gown decorated with pure white crystals.
The design was in the shape of a soaring Phoenix and its beauty is enough to enchant any woman who laid her eyes on it.
"Try it, it will fit you perfectly," The thin maid said as she got the cloth for Kayla.
"It's beautiful" Kayla complimented. "But I want something simple and plain," Kayla said dumbfounding the two maids.
Even though the clothes are beautiful and almost irresistible, She is not used to wearing flamboyant and eye-catching clothes. She is used to wearing simple and less attractive clothes.
"I will take this one" Kayla said as she pointed at a plain blue gown which did not match the grand style, it looked like an outcast different from the other clothes here.
It is less expensive and eye-catching but possesses a hidden beauty which seems like only Kayla could see. " just what I am looking for" Kayla said inwardly.
"This?" The two maids said in unison.
Ever since the cloth have been placed here, they have been abandoned ever since, non of the boos women ever gave it a second look but the boss specifically told them to always take care of the dress.
Before they could respond, Kayla walked to the dress that seemed isolated from the rest.
"We will help you get dressed Miss," The two maids said again.
"It's Kayla, please don't make me feel weird," Kayla said, she was tired of being called a miss.
