Chereads / Save Me... From Myself / Chapter 20 - Blood Everywhere

Chapter 20 - Blood Everywhere

I am standing at a crossroads. As far as I can see, barren land extends. The concrete road reminds me of a trip I took with my parents when I was young. Dad said he had to meet somebody. He wanted to introduce his family to someone very important. That was ten years ago when my mother was alive.

I look around with a tinge of fear in my heart. Practically speaking, there is nothing to be scared of. I have been here before, and I am intellectually equipped to return home.

Again, practically speaking, I should not be here at this moment. I don't remember when I left the Raven Hall. I don't understand why I am wearing nothing but a camisole and panties. I don't know why I am alone either. After everything that happened in the past three days, I assumed I would be accompanied by the boys wherever I went.

The idea of standing in front of Felix and Art makes me shiver. How will they look at me? Will they see a malnourished, pale-skinned desperate girl? I lower my head involuntarily and gasp.

This could not be real...

No... no... NOOOO

I jump and sit up on the bed. Sweat covers my body. Gasping for air, I try to leave my bed and run towards the windows. Only, I can't, as a pair of strong hands grab me by my waist. They wrap around me and I hear a voice, "What the fuck do you think you're doing?"

My entire being tries to focus on his voice. Amid the red everywhere around me, all the stickiness on my skin and the stench of blood. Yes, there is a stench in the blood. The image keeps on coming back to me. The image where I stand at the crossroads, and dead bodies lying around my feet like they had been murdered after extreme and severe torture.

I struggle to release myself from his strong grip. I know it has to be one of them, but I don't need them now. Not even Felix and Art. I need something else. I need air, and I need to see myself in the mirror. I need to make sure that I am not half-bathed in blood. I need to look around and know that there are no dead bodies around me.

"Open your eyes," he shouts now. I can feel his grasp getting tighter around my waist.

Of course, I struggle some more. There is a strange pain shooting up my thighs.

Eventually, more hands grab me. My hands are held tightly by one person, while I can feel another's touch on my legs. "LET ME GOOO!!!"

They don't listen to me. They hold me like that, like a wild animal brought to be tamed.

After who knows how long, I finally open my eyes. Tears blur my view, but I do recognize the faces of Orion, Rayo and Felix.

"Never have I ever felt this happy seeing someone," I confess in a croaky voice.
