I am still processing what happened. We returned by evening. We took our time to settle down. Thankfully, they left me alone so that I could gather my thoughts. Before coming home, we went to Rosemary's place. Her parents know that we went for trekking in the forest and found her. I made it a point not to talk about it with anyone because I was uncomfortable with the idea of such attention.
They understood.
Felix and Alp took some time to explain the whole thing to me. Once I got it, I didn't feel much thrilled about the whole rescuing Rosemary thing. Speaking of her, Rosemary is still sleeping.
After a long time, I receive a call on my phone. From the other side, I hear Lucy whispering.
"Fran, is that you?"
"Lucy, it's 2 a.m. Did something happen?"
"I had a horrible nightmare, Fran. Are you okay? Are you safe?"
I sigh and sit up. "Yes, I am safe. Go back to sleep."
