Blood slowly rose to the river's surface, alarming Emily, who was already on edge, scared that the worst had happened to her brother.
"Mark, please help him out?! It might not be too late," she pleaded for her brother's life, finally speaking to Mark, as he was rumored to be on par with the commander, the second-best person in the base.
"Don't worry," Mark tried to reassure her.
"What do you mean, don't worry, isn't he your friend?" She exclaimed, tears welling in her eyes.
"Anne, please," she turned to Anne, hoping for some support as Mark seemed fervent about Leo being alright.
"Don't worry, he is alright," Anne added.
"You too?!" Her eyes widened in shock as she looked at the two, doubtful that they were truly Leo's friends.
"If you won't go in, I will," she said, turning away from them as she looked at the blood on the river.
"Hey, don't!" Anne walked towards her, grabbing her hand.
