"Let the meeting commence," Charles announced as he once again took on the role of the host.
"The world as we know it is no more. Due to our greed and curiosity, we have plunged the world into chaos and must take responsibility," he exclaimed.
"Hey, that was on you guys. I knew nothing about the Atlantis project," a rather young-looking man said, unwilling to take the blame for something he wasn't a part of.
"Hey, shut it. You might be new, but you benefit from your position even though you haven't worked enough for it. So keep quiet; as long as you sit here with us, you are to be blamed," William retorted, looking at the young man with mockery.
"Please note that this meeting is being broadcast to the rest of the world leaders, at least those who survived. Watch your manners," a beautiful woman with grey hair said, gesturing to William and the young-looking man.
