"Did you really touch her breast?" The officer asked.
His eyes widened, heart pounding, as he released a hot air from his nose.
Kopi complained internally.
Earlier, the officer asked about his encounter with their Police Chief, startling him by surprise.
He shared that they bumped into each other, and the result led to such an obscene question.
Come to think of it, he indeed collided his face to her breast.
Furthermore, just thinking about those ample melons aroused him.
He was already in his sixteenth year of age, so it was a natural reaction.
Despite that, Kopi restrained himself arduously and snapped to reality.
He didn't want to think badly of the woman who saved him after the officer revealed it.
He deeply respected her since she let him off, even received a chance to take a rest and feast with food he hadn't even consumed since his birth.
Seeing that Kopi was silent and was consumed by his own world, the officer was furious.
He slammed the desk, blasting the stack of papers upward, turning his table into a mess.
But he ignored it and focused on Kopi, who was startled, sitting on the opposite side.
"I asked you a question, so you answer!" The officer slightly raised his voice.
Kopi was startled at first but was soon infuriated.
He didn't want someone to raise his voice, and it had brought trauma to him from the tyrant of his school.
Not even his parents raised their voices on him, and now, some entitled police officer was barking at him.
With a knitted eyebrows, Kopi replied, "Who knows?
Just like I said, I couldn't think clearly.
So, I guess I only bump on his shoulder."
Discerning that the kid acted haughtily, the officer flew into a rage.
However, he soon calmed down when he noticed that Kopi's gaze landed on his badge on his chest.
He was aware Kopi tried to know his name.
There was a probability of Kopi telling his name to the police chief and exposing him.
That would be the beginning of his downfall.
The police officer coughed.
"I'm sorry for acting like this. By the way, I am Shanti Punja. Shanti means peace, and this will always be my creed. I became a police officer to bring order to the Municipality, even though I was assigned to the worst sectors."
Kopi's eyebrows arched up, knowing what Shanti conveyed from the last part.
The Municipality has been divided into three main sectors.
The first main sector consisted of five, and it was considered as the high-class sector.
It was the same in the second sector but was considered a middle-class sector.
Lastly, the worst sectors Shanti mentioned.
It was called the worst sector, for not only was it populated by poor people, it was due to the harsh environment.
The worst sectors were the only sectors in the Municipality that had faced a Rank 4 Dimensional Portal, and it brought chaos to them.
Until now, the government tried its best to recover the losses, but they eventually gave up.
Kopi was completely aware of the reason.
It was because the government wouldn't want to take responsibility for the poor people.
Furthermore, they decided to focus more on the first two sectors since there were a lot of improvements.
Their funds were, after all, limited.
Hence, even if Kopi was furious at them, he really couldn't blame them.
"I'm a pure-blooded Indian, and I'm a Deputy Police Chief who works under the Police Chief," said the Shanti with a boastful tone and smug face.
Kopi was astonished – it was difficult to hide it – since, from what he knew, the current Deputy Police Chief was the former Police Chief, who was a Rank 3 Awakener.
Rank 3 Awakener was usually considered the beginning of becoming stronger since at this stage, they could develop what they called Aura.
Since the person in front of him was a Rank 3 Awakener and from his knowledge of him being a Fire Awakener, then he could develop a Mana Aura.
Kopi was tingling with excitement to ask him to show his Mana Aura, but there was another thing in his mind that had most of his attention.
"There have been many rumors around you of being downgraded or replaced by a newly assigned person. Is it true? And if it is, then why is it so?"
Kopi's question broke his ego, and Shanti, with manly striking jaws and classic full beards, sighed.
He replied, "Well, what could be another reason than her being stronger than me?"
"Is she really?" Kopi was baffled.
He believed the woman must have been the same rank as Shanti since it was already rare that only a single person in the worst sector had it.
Of course, that was only based on what he knew.
However, from Shanti's tone, it appeared the woman was ridiculously stronger.
'Wait…'
Kopi's body quivered when he realized something.
It was also the time Shanti couldn't restrain from sharing how amazing the person he admired was.
"Of course! After all, she is a Rank 5 Awakener!"
'So that was what it really was!'
Earlier, he believed that the palpable crimson energy the woman released was an Aura.
From her bulky body alone, it must be a Battle Aura.
He was proven wrong soon, however, when he recalled he was intimidated by it.
There could only be one reason.
'It was a Battle Intent.'
He gasped, and his breathing soon quickened.
He couldn't believe he met someone so strong who could kill him with a mere flick of their finger.
'So it was why I felt muddled and eventually confessed? Her Battle Intent is just so strong!'
"You finally realized it, huh? The difference between us? Of course, when I learned about it, I didn't hesitate to give up on my position. Furthermore, with her charming face and crimson eyes that contradicted her pitch-black hair."
"Pitch-black hair?" Kopi was baffled. "From what I recall, she has scarlet long hair."
"Sca-" Shanti's eyes widened.
He sat up from his seat, slammed both of his hands to the desk, motioned his face forward to Kopi, and asked with a quivering voice, "So you have seen her Battle Intent? Just how lucky are you?"
'I'm not.' Kopi rolled his eyes.
"I think so." Kopi rolled his eyes again. "But I almost died, you know? Do you want to witness it? Then, provoke her.
Well, that will be the last chance you will meet her… and even me." Kopi grinned.
Shanti was stunned and bursted into laughter.
"You're right."
Shanti guffawed for a while when Kopi opened his mouth and questioned.
"By the way, what is her name?"
Shanti was astonished and guffawed again.
Soon, he motioned to his cup, grabbed the handle, and moved it a bit.
Sufficient for Kopi to see the massive heart with a name painted with red color underneath.
