Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Into New World

In the streets of an old-fashioned city, there was a man wearing an old and dirty traveler's cloak, his silver hair swaying in the cool breeze under the little sunshine, walking aimlessly between the houses with a look of astonishment and confusion on his face.

He started touching the walls and the barrels thrown in the road, looking around him and putting his hands around his ears to focus on hearing well, but to no avail, because the place was very quiet, without people, without life.

The man's name is Leon, and he is a veteran transmigrator from the café. He lost his ability to speak during one of the missions he went through before, but this is not a big problem, thanks to his system, as only by thinking can he make the system speak for him.

He looked forward and saw the system screen floating in front of him. He thought of an obvious question before he heard the answer.

Leon frowned while thinking. According to the information, this world must definitely have life. So does this mean that this town is old and no longer suitable for life only?

No, Leon's intuition tells him that the matter is not that simple, but since the information confirms the existence of life, he will just look elsewhere.

One moment, Leon was standing alone in the middle of the city, but in the next moment, a motorcycle appeared in front of him. The bike had a strange design, as if it were covered in tree leaves and dirt, but suddenly it began to shift and change, revealing black and elegant metal. Leon wiped his hand on the motorcycle before he climbed on it and went to another place.

After he left the city, he was met by an endless expanse of golden sand in the desert, but instead of the intense heat that all deserts in different worlds share, this desert was actually somewhat cool with the refreshing air. Leon traveled in this desert for a long time, despite the insane speed. For his motorcycle that he obtained in his previous mission when he fought a giant, crazy wolf in a world full of vampires.

Finally, after about an hour, Lewin noticed a sign from afar. He clenched his fist and increased his speed. Fortunately, the sign read, "Welcome to the great city of the Kingdom."

On one of the walls near the city sign, the guard was yawning when he saw in the distance something approaching at a crazy speed in the direction of the city. He felt nervous and went down to submit the report to the commander, but before he even approached the stairs, something quickly flew over his head. He quickly looked up but did not He saw something—just the view of the clear blue sky. Then he looked again at the desert, but he did not find that thing that was approaching the city.

"Hmm, maybe I was just imagining?"

The guard held the sheath of his sword while feeling confused, but in the end, he decided to ignore that feeling and go back to observing.

"I was imagining that there was definitely something. After all, monsters cannot approach this desert, and even if they did, we would find in front of us an entire army of mutants and dirty, evil monsters."

.....

Contrary to what was expected, no one noticed Leon's entry into the city. Neither the guards nor the citizens paid attention, due to Leon's great experience in concealment. In one of the dark alleys of the city, Leon quietly went out to walk with the ordinary people. He took off his old robe, leaving only a simple white shirt and long black pants.

His appearance was not distinctive, but he certainly did not look like a beggar. His long silver hair was swaying, while his black eyes stared at the people around him lightly and without arousing suspicion. He noticed a woman in front of him putting a book in her bag, and he noticed an old man buying a newspaper from a store, so he stood up. He mixed with the crowd before stealing both the book and the newspaper without anyone noticing. Then he moved away from the place and opened the book first to read, but he almost collided with one of the children who were playing, so the child apologized to him, but Leon only smiled and approached the child before putting his hand behind his ear then a very beautiful blue stone came out. The children were amazed and began to applaud while Leon walked away charmingly.

The world is facing a huge catastrophe. Powerful and unknown beings appear everywhere after humans try to exploit ancient magic towers, only to face the fate of extinction due to the wrath of those magical monsters.

Leon was reading the children's history book he had previously stolen while sitting on a chair in a public park. When the book stopped providing new information, he got up from the seat and walked around the city, hoping to stay the night in an abandoned house or an old hotel. By chance, he found a beautiful little house. So he decided to enter.

The house was in very good condition, but it was devoid of any living creatures. Leon examined it for some time before sitting on the sofa and reading the newspaper, where he found that there was news about the sudden disappearance of all the people in the neighboring city without a clear reason, which contributed to spreading fear and anticipation in the city. The rest of the cities, according to the descriptions in the newspaper, are considered the last safe places for humans in the world after the disaster of magical monsters.

In a moment of silence, Leon thought about something, then saw the system window appear in front of him.

Leon listened to the system with a cold expression on his face, but suddenly he heard another voice near him. He summoned a long stick from the void and struck it without hesitation in the direction of the voice, but at the last moment, he stopped in his tracks.

Leon's eyes focused on the shape of the animal in front of him as if he were studying it, and after a few moments, he remembered what type of animal it was. It was a beautiful, cute brown cat that looked at him innocently.

Leon straightened his back and then returned to rest on the sofa before he found that the cat had jumped into his lap and started making comforting sounds. Leon was surprised for a moment and did not know how he could push that cat away. After failing to push it away several times, he finally gave up and let it sleep on his lap with all sincerity. As he watched her closely, for just a moment, Leon smiled because he missed this vague feeling of comfort after all the experiences he had gone through.

For the first time in a long time, Leon decided that he would go to sleep early.
