'That's it?'

Amihan was pissed, he was expecting to be in a body with op stats like in anime, not this average shit! On the bright side though, everything seemed to be in english for him.

'Whatever, because this is a game like system, it means I can level up and increase these.. Of course that means the others can as well.'

He opened up his quests to see what they were.

- Some quests are hidden

————————

Reading these quests, he was first confused as to why the main quest didn't give as much compared to the rest, but after some thinking it made sense.

Any person could choose to just hide somewhere safe and hidden for the next 7 days or even during the entire game!

Because this game was also being broadcast across the universe, it only makes sense that there's some way the viewers can spectate the players.

'That means I could be being watched at all times huh..'

This would make things a little trickier for him. He was hoping to meditate using the meditation technique from his previous life and to see if this body had a good affinity for it.

"Hey god or system, whatever was talking to me earlier. Can the viewers spectate players at any times or what exactly can they view?"

(Because viewers can influence the game via sponsoring, we limit what they can see to only spatial cameras throughout the world, the leaderboard, and basic information about players. So your privacy when indoors is guaranteed.)

He sighed a breath of relief hearing this. He decided he would meditate first before heading out.

He checked his internal essence and noticed his soul essence was 60/60, but his body had only 1/1 in his reserves.

'Let's hope for the best…'

The stench of iron mixed with sulfur filled the air.

Flames engulfed a mountain of monsters and humans combined. Tents were laid out in the outskirts of what used to be Dim Valley, a small yet peaceful village where farmers and mages thrived.

What remains of the town now is rubble and corpses with an eerie feeling of death in the air due to all the smoke and dark clouds creating a terrible scene.

Inside some of the tents laid multiple wounded people who wore leather armor and rags. Some only had minor cuts while others were missing multiple limbs. A few individuals were hovering their hands over some of these wounds, with a green glow basking the wound.

They were people with an affinity for healing magic, making them some of the most respected people in the village.

All the people in these tents belong to a team called "Dim Panthers".

They are all people who used to live in Dim Valley until a god descended unto their lands and forced them into this survival like death game situation. They banded together and fended off groups of F grade monsters that had appeared out of nowhere, losing dozens of men and women in the battle.

One of their strongest fighters who contributed the most to the defense became the leader and founded the team. He currently sat in the biggest tent with a group of 5 other individuals sitting with him.

"Jack, we need to scavenge as much supplies as we can and move to a new area where we can establish a new home for ourselves." an older woman who was in the meeting suggested to the leader.

"NO! Dim Valley is sacred land, our ancestors took care of this place with sweat and blood. Do you think we can just abandon it?! I say we clean this place and rebuild Dim Valley, bringing it to even greater heights!" the chief of the village interjected with spit flying everywhere as he banged the table and stated his opinion.

After the two argued for a couple more minutes, they sat back into their chairs and everyone their stared intently at Jack, waiting for his opinion.

He looked down at his hands for a long while, using his high intelligences to its fullest. He then raised his head, his eyes had a dangerous glint in them coupled with a great resolve behind them, "We're going to stay. When we're all healed up, I'll give everyone various tasks, with some focusing on gathering logs, cleaning, patrolling, hunting, building and scouting. I was looking into this 'System' we have, we can increase our stats and immediately get stronger. With that, this 'Skill Tree' and our strong bond, we can turn this town into a kingdom! My decision is final so either trust in me or leave."

The group stared at him, blinking and not saying a word, as if he had casted a spell on them all.

*Clap. Clap.*

They all stood up and began clapping loudly and cheering. These people had no idea what technology or even what the word 'system' was when it came to this game like situation. For Jack to be able to find out how to maneuver through the system is a huge advantage for him and his group.

This was why a lot of people died when this powerful money-hungry deity who claimed to be a god descended into their world. When compared to earth, these people were behind thousands of years, stuck in a medieval era for centuries. They had no idea what a digital screen was, so a majority of them were confused as to how to use the system that appeared in front of their vision that only they could see!

The reason for this lack of technological growth is due to the magic these people had engrained into their bodies. The deity of Setera, who is most likely dead or has fled, gave the humans of this world the power to use magic.

After sending a few prophets to find good people with a strong affinity for it, people began focusing on magic rather then technology.

Jack chose to stay and rebuild Dim Valley for multiple reasons. The first being there were currently 3 boys, 3 girls, 18 young men, 22 young women, 9 older men and 12 older women. This brought a total of 67 people currently barely alive from Dim Valley who are now in his team.

Attempting to adjust all these people to a new environment would be too difficult. Plus, Dim Valley was in a very good place already, finding another place like it would take days of scouting and days or even weeks transferring everything to a new location.

Second, the lake is home to a valuable treasure that Jack realized will help them all to survive.

Glowing blue salmon and other species of fish survive and prosper in the lake.

But the blue salmon, also called mana fish, are harvested by the people of the village during mating season for their mana caviar!

Jack found out while fighting that a handful of mana caviar can replenish all his mana, and he had a mana level of 7 when he first started fighting!

'These people don't realize that because of this survival situation, the economy and everything will change. Mana salmon are already rare enough, but I doubt many people harvested the caviar. We can easily become a strong powerhouse if we can rebuild!' Jack internally shouted with excitement.

This path he established can make or break his team, such a gamble brought his heart racing and his mind thinking, he never felt so alive!

...

Various other situations like this occurred all around the world. Different countries and groups of people faced various different situations. Groups banded together, and some chose to go solo, not trusting anyone.

Some people betrayed groups, some people were even taken as slaves.

It was complete chaos in Setera.

...

A portal formed high in the sky in a sunny yet snow covered artic land. A metallic object with blinking red lights on the side began moving out of it, with a white light beam shooting into the ground where it was slowly descending to.

"One of my sponsors told me that's a supply drop." a man currently standing on top of a hill with a spyglass was staring at the object slowly descend out the portal.

He was a lone wolf who had amazing prowess and affinity for lightning. He was in his late 30s, but his high intelligence allowed him to adapt quickly to the survival situation and learn how to use the system.

Within the first hour, he had killed hundreds of people before vanishing from the kingdom he stayed in.

(Setera Chat | Sponsor Chat | Duma2439: An army is approaching the supply drop. Stay hidden)

"Tch-" the man cursed in his mind. He knew this wouldn't be easy, which was why he was hiding within the snow keeping an eye out. But for an army to already arrive? This was bad.

He used his spyglass and looked around, eventually seeing the moving dots in the horizon that were marching through the snow.

...

Within a scorching hot desert, two young men stood back to back against a horde of desert F grade monsters.

The monsters looked like crabs that numbered in the thousands, covering the land as far as the eye can see!

*BOOOOM! KABOOOOOOOOOOOM!*

A blonde hair man stood launching giant fireballs out one hand that took out hundreds of crabs with each explosion and the other hand launched hundreds of flaming arrows into the air that continuously rained down on the monsters!

A black hair man stood behind him, using one hand to shoot a breath of frost that froze the monsters and the other hand to wield a floating ice sword that destroy the frozen monsters and shot out arcs of frost with each swing.

"Keep on leveling up your mana and affinity stat when you run low! Our mana is slightly replenished with each stat point into our mana." the blond hair yelled at the man behind him.

"Fuck off I know! Check the skill tree if anything, there's mana recovery skills you can learn, you're focused on the wrong things bro! I'm already at Tier 5 mana recovery." the black hair yelled back before laughing.

The blonde guy's eyes turned red, "YOU SHOULD'VE SAID SOMETHING SOONER!!"

They both continued to fight the hoard of monsters that wouldn't stop flooding them. Millions of viewers were watching them fight out the hoard, a few of them already having messaged them ready to sponsor and help, but the two were too focused on not dying to realize they had sponsors.

...

*Fssshh!*

A man dashed around a kingdom in the middle of the night, sneaking into houses and looting any weapons and supplies he could store in his spatial ring.

He was fortunate enough to had find and clear a dungeon realm the day the god descended, granting him lots of xp and some goods that he was currently abusing to make himself even stronger by stealing and killing.

He wanted to weaken this kingdom so he would be stronger them then and eventually sneak into the palace to steal anything that would help him.

'SHIT!' he was currently jumping from roof to roof when he felt a chill behind his back, immediately dashing out the way.

*BANG!*

A cloaked woman stood where the man was, with her fist embedded into the roof.

She stood up and immediately closed the gap between her and the man.

He dashed back and pulled out a scroll from his spatial ring and pointed at the woman, causing a ring of light to appear above her head.

*VRRRMMM!*

The light immediately rooted her in place, causing her to release a shriek and her eyes to widen. The scroll in the man's hand burned away, "I don't know who you are, but you die here!"

The man got down on all fours and dashed forward, flipping a dagger into his right hand that he was about to shove into the woman's neck.

*CRACK- BOOOOOM!*

A green lightning strike struck the man before he could reach the woman, blowing his body into pieces.

A man appeared out the shadows behind the woman, "You can't do anything yourself, can you?"

Being scolded while binded, the woman's eyes began to form tears, "I ALMOST HAD HIM! It's not fair! He had some magical scroll, without it he'd be dead!!"

...

All these events that were currently taking place on the second day were unknown to Amihan. 2 hours had pass and he opened his eyes after meditating, "Let's see what I've gained."

He checked his essence and saw his soul essence was still the same, but his body essence actually increased to 10/10 from just one meditation session!

He opened his system and also noticed he had completed a quest, 'Was there a hidden quest for meditating?!"

He opened the notification and his eyes nearly popped out his sockets!
