I hesitated for a second, then picked up the phone, "Hello?"
"So, if I don't reach out to you, are you planning on ghosting me for the rest of your life?" Damon's tone was full of bitterness, making it sound like I had done him wrong.
I paused before saying, "Actually, that's not true. Didn't I send you the FarHorizon Group's information a few days ago?"
Damon didn't respond to that. For a moment, I thought he had hung up.
"You're really pushing it, aren't you?" Damon was seething. "Over a month has passed. You knew i was injured, but all you've done in the past month is send me some FarHorizon Group stuff, and you've barely said a word to me, let alone ask how I'm doing."
That was all new to me. Damon was getting pissed off at me for being cold?
That version of him was both strange and familiar because it reminded me of how I used to be.
