"Damon, can you help me find Joshua?" I didn't have time to think about anything else. My first instinct was to ask Damon for help.
"Nope" Damon coldly rejected
"He's at his wit's end thanks to Ariel and is about to leave the city. Now I can't reach him, which probably means he's in trouble. This is a life-and-death matter! Do something good!" I grabbed Damon's arm and said.
I genuinely cared for Joshua like a younger brother. If something really happened to him, I had to find a way to help.
Anger flashed in Damon's eyes, "Why do you care about him so much?"
"Nothing happened between us, but he's my friend. He genuinely cares for me, so it's only natural that I care for him" I said quickly. The next second, I felt deflated, "Never mind, I'll call the cops myself"
I turned to leave, Damon muttered something under his breath, then quickly caught up with me, "Wright, alright. I'll help you find him, okay?"
