"We're back!"
At that moment, Norah's voice rang out as she opened the front door and pushed Serena and Brandon inside.
The two little ones weren't in the mood for sleep yet; they were swinging their chubby arms in the air, looking utterly adorable.
Seeing the two little ones, Silas and Lisa broke into smiles.
Lisa, in particular, seemed overjoyed as she went over to the stroller and lifted Serena into her arms. Her eyes were brimming with affection.
Serena seemed content in Lisa's arms, too, not crying or fussing. Her big round eyes watched Lisa, and she'd occasionally babble something incomprehensible. Lisa was delighted, cooing back at her, "What a lovely little girl you are! So adorable!"
Both Damon and I looked on, not quite sure what to say.
Finally, Damon stepped forward and took Serena into his arms. "She's not your granddaughter. Stop bothering Eliana with this."
