"I've given you plenty of chances. Have you forgotten all of them?" I couldn't help but retort.
"I didn't understand myself back then. Can you stop judging me now based on my past?" Damon seemed even more helpless as I said that. He knew that he couldn't change the past. And he knew how excessive his past behavior was.
I remained silent and just continued to drive.
Upon arriving at the hospital, I accompanied Damon to treat his wounds and then drove him back to Starlight Estates.
Knowing that Damon's mother was also there, I planned to just drop Damon off at the entrance and let him walk in himself. But he just sat in the passenger seat, not moving a bit.
"I couldn't walk because you hurt me," Damon turned his head and looked at me as if it were a matter of course.
I was confused. When did he get hurt because of me? I didn't ask him to drink, nor did I hire someone to beat him.
