Maybe it was because I had seen enough crazy stuff, but my gut feeling was now as sharp as a razor.
The nurse gave the guy a look, and her alarm bells instantly went off. She said sternly. "Leave, don't disturb the patient, or I'll call security!"
The man glared at me with such a chill. I didn't know him, but he looked at me like I was his worst enemy.
With the medical staff present, he didn't dare linger. He made up an excuse, "Sorry, wrong room."
And with that, he turned and left.
Even after he left, I still had the creeps. I didn't know this place well, and being here alone felt risky.
After a bit of thinking, I decided to call Damon.
"You better take good care of Eliana! If you go after that tramp Ariel again, I swear I'll cut ties with you!" Just as I dialed the number, the hospital room door burst open, and Lisa's voice echoed from afar.
