"I just ran into Ariel" I started, looking at Damon.
Damon frowned and the grin on Zoe's face behind him faded a lot.
She seemed to be more scared of Ariel, but didn't seem to give a damn about me, his ex-wife.
"I came to the District to discuss cooperation with Scarlett Enterprises. They were very friendly to me before I came here, but now they're avoiding me and chatting happily with Ariel instead. Don't tell me this has nothing to do with you" I said bluntly.
Damon's expression didn't change, but Zoe looked surprised.
I ignored her reaction, waiting for Damon to respond.
"You think every bad thing that happens has something to do with me? Am I really that bad in your eyes?" Damon retorted angrily. There was a chill in his eyes.
"You don't have to get mad. If I'm wrong", I apologize. After seeing Damon's expression, I knew he wasn't lying.
Ariel was just using his name to provoke me.
