I really didn't understand how Jones was able to finish his work abroad and come back in such a short time. I was gobsmacked when I saw him at the hospital.
There he was, towering over everyone in his white lab coat, just as he always did. He had this aura about him, and his ice cold gaze seemed to pause on me for a second.
"Dr Jones you're back"" A nurse popped up, greeting him shyly
"Yep, I'm back" Jones replied nonchalantly, and then sauntered over to me
He glanced at the paper in my hand. "Feeling under the weather?"
I shook my head quickly. "No, not me. I'm here with my mom. She's got little anemic and needs regular check-ups"
My mom was having a lab test done at the moment, and I was just waiting for her
"When did you get back? I had no clue," I asked
"I got back yesterday late at night. Didn't want to disturb your beauty sleep," Jones replied, looking at me.
I nodded. He was really attentive
