Chereads / ROBOTRON: RISE OF THE CONTROLLER(ON HOLD) / Chapter 17 - CHAPTER 17 - DIVINE POSSESSION

Chapter 17 - CHAPTER 17 - DIVINE POSSESSION

"Judging from your reaction, I must be correct. A mere touch from you inflicts significant damage. My attacks, even with the ability to manipulate the surroundings, have little to no impact on you. The only time you seem to struggle or express concern is when you attempt to influence my ability. That's because color is an aspect of light, right?" Amelia inquired, wearing a confident smile.

"That's why your control over my ability is so feeble. You either take too long to affect it, or you can only reduce the amount I command. It's clear to me now," Amelia's smile broadened as she spoke. "Directionality, that's your problem, right?"

"Earlier, you tried to insult my big brother because of my own weakness, but you failed to remember that just less than two weeks ago he was still powerless," a halberd began to form in her hand.

"Even without an ability, big bro was still able to do and teach me many things that other people could not." Her armor began to reform: red wings grew out of her back, blue and green horns sprouted from her head, yellow claws extended from her hands, the chest armor turned orange, and the legs took on the colors indigo and violet, respectively.

Looking straight at Lisa, who was just a few feet from her with fists clenched into a punch, she continued, "And if you really don't believe me, why don't you face him yourself?"

[DIVINE POSSESSION]

A blinding light pierced through the clouds and descended on Amelia, sending Lisa flying a couple of feet away. Lisa tried to stand up but got pressed down to the ground again while spitting out a fountain of blood.

"So, how was my entrance?" Damien said, looking at Amelia, who was sitting beside him in a dark room.

Amelia rolled her eyes before answering, "Yeah, it was cool. Now focus on your opponent and don't forget your main goal of finding Lewis's hiding spot. The bastard seems to have noticed, or else he would have been the one to attack me."

Damien turned to look at the cocoon that was his body before nodding his head. "I'll make this quick."

"So you noticed too."

"The way you and the other captains treated him was obvious to everyone. At first, I thought you guys were being petty, but after fighting this girl, I found out the truth. With his 'True Shot' ability, Lewis would have killed her in one hit," Amelia replied.

"You're getting..."

"Watch out!"

BANG!!

Amelia's body went flying into the distance like a kite with broken strings.

"How dare you?" Lisa shouted angrily.

From a young age, she had always been hailed a genius because of her ability. Only a few geniuses in her age group were able to defeat her, and she was even able to fight those stronger than her. She once defeated a peak B-ranked Abyssal in a duel. No one had ever humiliated her this way before. Making her spit blood and pressing her to the ground? No one had the right to do so.

"Shit!"

Damien stabbed the halberd into the ground, forcefully bringing Amelia's body to a stop. He then wiped the blood from her lips before turning to Lisa.

"You'll pay for that," he said before spinning the halberd and throwing it in her direction before bolting off after it.

"Foolish!" Lisa said before deflecting the halberd away with a finger and quickly grabbed Amelia's hand, which was just in front of her face.

"Wrong move."

[FLASH]

A spark of light appeared in front of Lisa's eyes, blinding and disorienting her just in time for the halberd to return and stab into her back, releasing a high voltage of electricity that almost knocked her out, if not for her quick reflexes, which allowed her to take control of it but...

"Aarrgghh!" She cried out in pain.

"What? Is there a problem?" Damien asked, smiling evilly.

"How?"

"Oh, it's not really hard to guess. It's electromagnetism," Lisa looked confused hearing him.

"Ah, I understand now. You're one of those arrogant idiots who go around thinking their powers are absolute, aren't you? Let me guess, you didn't think the natives who had just gotten their abilities would find a way to counter yours. Let me break it to you: all I did just now, other than the light, none of my other attacks were an ability," Lisa's eyes widened hearing that, the shock in her eyes made her ignore the pain of having electricity constantly flow through her body.

"All I did was create a construct with my nanobots and charged it with electricity. The halberd constantly creates multiple paths of electricity in your body, but that's just a distraction. The real attack is electromagnetic. Currently, there are seven different constructs in your body that received the energy and converts it back into electricity before releasing the shock."

Damien looked at Lisa, who began fumbling around, probably checking her body for any external objects.

"Don't waste your time. I wouldn't have told you if you had the ability to spot them... Oh, and don't bother removing the halberd or else..."

" Please...."

"Sorry, I would have loved to keep you guys company a bit more, but I have to go now," Damien said before putting his hand on Lisa's neck and creating a choker there. "Don't try anything funny when I'm gone," he said before leaving Amelia's body.

"I..."

"Not interested," Amelia said before turning to leave, but Lisa grabbed her leg.

"Please ask Master to make me his disciple," she said with shining eyes.

Oh, shit!

What have you done, big bro?

*Sigh!*

Amelia looked up to the sky and thought ' I should probably prepare for war'
