With Haise now sleeping soundlessly, he is unaware of the safety that he brought himself into. The tree that Haise is sleeping so soundlessly under softly picks him up with their branches and brings him up and into the safety of their many branches and blossoms.
After securing Haise on top of a large branch, and making it to where he doesn't fall off, the tree settles its branches and goes back to being still, unknown to everyone that it was quite happy to have helped.
Haise slept for a long while that he didn't think would be possible again, but he thought he shouldn't get used to it considering these trees wouldn't be where the sect was, and to be honest, he didn't know where he was but it's fine, he can always find out another time.
As he got up and jumped out of the tree, feeling more awake than tired, he bowed to the tree deeply to show his thanks, and then he left, not noticing how the branches of the tree seemed to grow taller in a prideful way.
Haise makes his way through the trees, and again, not caring if the animals were staring, he could tell. Due to his many years as an assassin, he knew when he was being watched and where, and he was even able to tell them apart from humans.
He exits the trees and starts heading back to his temporary room. He wants to go back to the comfort of his space before he decides to go exploring or just look around again. As he went through the training area, he halted his steps and stared with interest.
Someone was out here, and very early in the morning too. It was a tall male with slightly long dark brown hair that rested on his shoulders and a good build, and from where he was standing, he could tell that the person had reddish-brown eyes and light-brown skin. He had a handsome face, but a stance that needed some work.
Haise had walked in on some guy training and he knew he should leave the guy alone, but his poor stance was messing with him. The guy wields a sword like a professional but his stance shows that of a beginner.
Haise notices that the guy goes for a swing but he wobbles and his swing doesn't go all the way. He could tell the guy got frustrated because he tried changing his stance which didn't help much. It just caused him to be more off-balanced than he already was.
Haise couldn't take it anymore and cleared his throat catching the attention of the man with a stance on par with that of a beginner.
"Hi, I couldn't help but notice that you are having trouble, would you like some assistance?" he asked as he approached slowly.
The man just stared at him for a moment before finally responding in a low tone of voice, "I don't need your help"
Haise raised a brow, assessing the guy from top to bottom before sighing,
"Come on, at least let me help you with your stance, I can tell when you swing you are off balance, and you will need that balance when it comes to fighting won't you?" The man stared at him without saying anything, as if he was thinking it over, which Haise could tell he was.
The man, after a moment of silence, grumbled and nodded.
Haise beamed, "Great! Now please get into your normal stance"
The man reluctantly got into a normal stance, not wanting to take orders from someone he didn't know, but he could use the help. In truth, he has been struggling with his stance for a while since he got a new sword which comes with a weight that he isn't used to.
Haise looks over the man's stance, thinking deeply.
"May I touch you?" Haise asked and the man looked at him before hesitantly nodding his head.
"Don't worry, I'm just gonna help you correct your stance" Haise reassured him as he placed his hands delicately on the man's forearm, he raised one arm a bit and lowered the other.
He steps back, taking in what he did before asking the man to move his feet, "Can you move your feet shoulder length apart?"
The man stared at him but just sighed and followed his instructions,
"Great, now, move your leading foot forward more, and move your back foot behind you so it's parallel to the front foot" Haise instructed again, which the man followed.
"Okay, now, try taking a swing" Haise instructed as he backed up.
The man did as told and he swung his sword, and he was filled with astonishment and surprise. He felt more steadier and lighter than before with his other stance. He also felt more in control of his swings and movements.
He stared at the man, that couldn't be younger than a year or two under him, with inquisitive eyes. He wondered who this guy was and how he even knew of stances. The guy doesn't seem like a fighter, the aura surrounding him was proof enough because it showed more of a Mages' aura than a Fighter's, but then again, with how this guy knew of how to correct his stance, he could be wrong.
There were even cases of fighters having auras similar to that of mages so this guy might have the same cases as those back then.
"Do you feel any discomfort? Or off-balanced?" The man in front of him asked, breaking him from his thoughts.
"It's good" He answered him simply,
"That's great!" The man in front of him happily spoke.
He stared at him before voicing his thoughts, "Who are you?" he asked, to which the man just smiled,
"The name is Haise, I'm a recruit for the Moon Sect, nice to meet you" Haise greeted with a smile,
"Mh, my name is Kiran, thank you, Haise" Kiran bowed to show his gratitude which Haise smiled at.
"It's no problem, whether you asked me to or not, I would have still found a way to help you" Kiran stared at Haise before nodding his head,
"Are you a fighter?" he asked, curious.
The question made Haise chuckle, "Nope! I'm a mage" Kiran was surprised.
Although Haise being a mage did cross his mind, everything naturally pointed towards Haise being a Fighter.
"I know, it's surprising to see a mage that knows about stances" Haise laughed a little sheepishly as he placed a hand on his hip and shifted his weight to his other foot.
"But, that doesn't mean it's not possible" Haise smiled at him.
It was a comfortable atmosphere. The both of them stare at each other with the wind caressing and ruffling their hair. It was peaceful before Haise decided he hung outside long enough,
"Well, I have to go, I'll see you another time, yeah?" Haise asked as he turned.
Kiran stared at him before nodding, which gave him a happy smile from yours truly. As he watched Haise turn the corner and disappear, he felt a bit saddened he left, but it was an unknown feeling with no name and small, so he didn't pay it any mind. He sighs as he gets into the stance that Haise fixed him into, and begins practicing once again.
As Haise enters his room and plops down onto his bed, he feels tired yet energized. It was weird and confusing but he didn't dwell on that but decided to think of the guy he met in the training area. He wasn't much of a talker, so he must be an introvert, and he also seemed quite bothered by asking for help if the earlier talk was any proof.
But besides that, he looks like an interesting person, and he has quite a unique name, Kiran. He might just give the guy a nickname just to see his reaction, that is if he sees him again. Kiran, from what he could tell, was slightly older than him, at least nineteen or twenty. Haise does wonder though, It's a stupid thought but he wonders what year the guy is in. He knows there are at least four years spent in the sect.
Then after the completion of those four years, you get to leave with the knowledge you have acquired from the sect and live out your years traveling or you could leave the sect and settle down and have a family of your own. Or, you can stay with the sect and lend them your help and knowledge. In some instances, some people leave in the middle of their years in a sect, whether it's because they got kicked out or something happened and they needed to leave. He got this information from the body he is in and thankfully, the previous owner did 'some' research on sects at least.
Haise sighs before sitting up, getting his spatial bag, and grabbing out the books he still needs to look over. The book that held the information about the surrounding forest around the Moon Sect just gave some info about the animals and some hunting spots and even some spots that are used for special days, like a celebration for example.
The second book held information on herbs and alchemy, which just gave basic information on different types of plants and herbs that are useful in poison, healing, and potions. The information about alchemy seemed a bit limited since it wasn't that detailed on some serious topics that revolved around actual synthetic alchemy. Like producing actual human skin, but then again, it's not human skin.
It's confusing to understand and with the limited amount of information on it, there isn't anything one can do about it. Besides the synthetic alchemy part, alchemy can be used in crafting materials, like weapons or armor, and/or enhancing one's weapons and armor which can help with keeping them high-leveled and protected.
But, since not a lot is found on alchemy, not many can use it and usually when you ask someone about alchemy, half the time they won't even know what it is, let alone know what it does. Overall, it's hard to find someone with the ability to perform alchemy.
Now, the last book he had to look over just gave basic information on Mana, what it does, and how to use it. Along with the after-effects of using too much mana. It can cause one to have headaches, and to feel sore all over. It takes a day or two to recover, and usually when one does recover, one feels more energized and more awake. Overall, Mana is confusing yet understandable.
Haise sighs before looking at the ingredients he has beside him which, from his now up-to-date knowledge, can be used to make potions, but for him to do that, he is only missing a vile of goblin blood which is just the base ingredient for potions.
Haise sighs again and puts everything back into his spatial bag before setting it on the desk beside the bed. He lies down on his side, wondering what he should do now. Haise lifts a hand in front of his face, staring at the non-noticeable shaky movements of his fingers. Huh. He hadn't noticed he almost stopped trembling altogether.
He wonders why. Not that he is complaining, he just wants to know why and how that was possible. Almost nothing that he has tried before has ever worked with trying to stop himself from shaking, but now? It seems it has happened, he doesn't know how though.
He lays there wondering how this happened but after a while, he gave up and decided to get himself a sandwich, because he hadn't eaten in, from what he could recall from his body's memories, two days, so he needed some food. Maybe some water too.
Despite his body needing to eat, he reluctantly got up and left his room for the canteen. When he entered, there were groups of people there, eating and having their breakfast, because from what he could tell, it was still around 10 or 11 in the morning. He stops his eyes from wandering and goes up to the counter where the movement is very much alive and asks one of the ladies there for a sandwich.
The lady smiled and nodded and told him to wait. Haise nodded and stood by, leaning on the wall and minding his own business. After a minute, he spots a certain reddish brown-eyed man. Kiran. He smirked but, instead of going up to the guy, he just stayed silent. He didn't really wanna bother him, so he will do so another time when he sees him again.
"Excuse me" A voice caught his attention and he turned to the side to see the lady he was talking to earlier.
She smiled and handed him his sandwich and a bottle of water, which was a surprise, "I saw you seemed a little parched, so I thought why not give you a bottle of water, just in case" the lady said, a smile on her face.
Haise smiled back sweetly, "Thank you so much"
The lady chuckled, "It is quite alright child, If you need anything else, don't be afraid to ask"
Haise nodded and she walked away and back behind the counter with the other ladies.
Haise wasn't expecting a water bottle from that lady, but he was very appreciative of the kindness he was shown. Before leaving the canteen, he took a glance at Kiran for a second, watching him interact with a few people that are around him.
Huh, guess he isn't much of an introvert than Haise thought he was. Haise smiled before leaving the canteen.
Once he left, he didn't see the pair of eyes that were eyeing his previous spot.
Haise enters his room, plops down on his bed, and starts eating. The sandwich was surprisingly good along with the water, but that must've been because he hadn't eaten much in the last two days.
After finishing up, he took a quick shower which was provided in the rooms the new disciples had for the meantime. After finishing up, he got dressed and decided to take a quick visit. As he passes the training grounds and gets to the forest, he notices that he is being watched. He knows it's mostly because of the animals in the forest, but, one of them is human.
It sets him on edge, but he notices that the person has no intent of harming him, so he decides to not dwell on it any longer. As he enters the forest, he notices a few birds and squirrels following him closely, he isn't sure why, so he just keeps walking. They might just be curious and want to know what he is up to, yeah, that must be it. He gets to a clearing showcasing many beautiful trees, ones he knows very well.
Haise smiles brightly, his eyes sparkle with spots of pink from the glow of the trees's petals. Oh, how he loves Cherry blossom trees. The trees flow and weave, from another's point of view they might even seem like they are happy to see him. Haise approaches one of the trees and places his hand on the trunk.
He looks up, watching the branches and petals swim in the wind. A pulse. Haise looks back towards his hand and the tree trunk. He looks at it confused, before feeling another pulse under his hand.
"Woah..." he muttered, taking in a breath before placing his ear to the trunk, wanting to see if he could hear anything.
He waited a few seconds until he heard it. A heartbeat. He pulls back and stares at the tree, stunned and confused. Why does a tree have a pulse and a heartbeat? It's not possible, it can't be. But, with the world, he is in now? It's a possibility.
Haise sighs and sits down at the bottom of the trunk. He leans back, already tired. It has only been here for at least a day and yet, he is discovering things left and right. Haise groans, pulls his knees to his chest, and rests his head on them.
He wraps his arms around his legs. What should he do now? Everything is overwhelming. Haise groans and stands up. He stretches and looks at the trees for a second before turning around, intending to leave.
He only got a few steps away when he heard them. Whispers. He turned around and stared. Trying to make out what they were saying. He gets closer, wanting to see if he can make out the whispers if he is closer to the source.
He wasn't able to make them out, they only got louder the closer he got.
Haise sighs, "I'm sorry but I can't make out what you're trying to say" The whispers stopped abruptly.
He stood there confused before a voice whispered into his ear, but this time, he could make it out.
"You are not yet ready to hear, child. When you are ready, it will be the time that we will meet again" Haise turned around, looking in all directions for the owner but found nothing.
He looks back to the tree and nods before muttering a response, turning around, and walking away. As he walks away, a figure walks out of the trees and stares at Haises' back. His red eyes glowed in curiosity and maybe amusement. The figure smirks, his black hair swaying with the wind.
"Interesting..." He muttered before walking back into the trees.
Haise makes it back to his room and plops down on his bed. He wonders what those pairs of eyes belong to. The human ones were eyeing him the entire time. He knew where they were but couldn't see them like they were somehow invisible to his eyes.
He doesn't dwell on it any longer than he needs to, considering that they didn't have any killing intent towards him, so right now, he doesn't have to worry about it. Since Haise has nothing left to do, he decides to stare to zone out to pass the time.
