* Shinaiva
Darkness enveloped my surroundings. All I could see is pitch black. I started to wander around, walking aimlessly, not knowing where I'm actually headed. Until I saw the light, suppose the one they call " the light at the end of the tunnel."
I walked towards that light, with the hope "maybe I'll finally be able to rest." Then I saw her, Eiko leaning against a mirror with her hands crossed . She showed a face I've never thought she'd make — a grin. I...am...afraid... Why is she here? Did she also died?
Then, she started to laugh. She's laughing so hard she need to hold her stomach. She's laughing so hard that she closes her eyes and tears of joy started to glisten on her cheek.
"WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING, " I shouted. "You look pale as a sheet. Why? You think you've seen a ghost?" She didn't even bother to answer the question. I continued to glare at her because she still won't stop laughing.
Few minutes have passed, she then stopped laughing and walked towards me with a straight face. She grabbed me by my writs and pulled me with great force. She dragged me to the front of the big mirror that big mirror in the "middle" of this place.
"You! Don't hold me!" I shouted at her taking back my wrist from her hand. I was filled with awe. The mirror seemed smaller from a measly distance but it was this big. I'm trying in awe. The mirror has golden frames with symmetrical angelic carvings.
Eiko made me remember that I am not alone at that moment. She held out her hand onto the mirror and asked me if I wanted to see anybody before the banquet. I was dumbfounded, of course because why would I want to see people who'll I know died at my coming of age banquet. "No, I don't want to see anyone. I'd rather not feel sentimental if I saw anyone I used to know again. More say, aren't I supposed to be dead? Why're you here? "
She went silent. She just looked down. She turned to my side and held me by the shoulder. Unexpectedly as it is, with that one hand, she pushed me into the mirror! And now I'm back into the palace with my maids and those who I know have died in that incident.
Why? Did she just gave me a second chance? Well for goodness sake, this near to my banquet gives me not enough time to change my past mistake of ever meeting that woman!
Why did I even liked her in the first place? She's quiet. She always have that poker face and she always looks nonchalant of those around her. I let out a deep sigh, which seemed to show my dissatisfactory that alarmed the maids attending me.
