Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 Babael hospital

The morning sun cast a warm glow over her room, signaling the start of a new day. Stacy stretched her body, feeling a throbbing pain in her head.

She couldn't seem to remember what had happened last night, but she knew she had pushed past her limit with alcohol.

Pushing aside her confusion, she stretched her body and sat up when she took her phone and then she saw a message.

It was boldly written as Babael Hospitals, she cleaned her eyes to make sure she wasn't dreaming, she focused on the message that could change her life.

Stacy Feng couldn't believe her luck. She had just received a message offering her a job at Babael Hospitals, one of the top three biggest hospitals in Shanghai.

It was a dream come true for her, a chance to work in a prestigious institution and make a difference in people's lives. As she read the message on her phone, excitement and disbelief washed over her.

Quickly getting out of bed, Stacy rushed to the bathroom to freshen up. She showered and brushed her teeth, trying to shake off the remnants of the previous night's indulgence.

With a renewed sense of purpose, she dressed in a black skirt, a white crop top, and a pure white long blazer. Completing her professional look, she slipped into a pair of black heels and grabbed her bag.

As Stacy made her way downstairs, she found her parents and Aunt Wang already eating breakfast. They looked up in surprise as they saw their daughter dressed so formally.

"Morning, Dad. Morning, Mom. Morning, Aunt Wang," Stacy greeted them with a smile. She grabbed a car key and explained, "I'm heading to work. See you later." She said with so much excitement.

Her mother, concerned, asked, "Where are you off to in such a hurry? Won't you have some breakfast?"

"I've been offered a job at Babael Hospitals, Mom. I need to go and resume immediately," Stacy replied, her excitement evident in her voice.

Her parents exchanged glances, clearly proud of their daughter's achievement. "Congratulations, Stacy. We're so proud of you, I knew you could do it" her father said, his voice filled with pride.

Stacy beamed at her parents' words of encouragement. She quickly made her way to the garage, where her black BMW awaited her.

She hopped into the car and drove off, her heart pounding with anticipation.

Arriving at the hospital's parking garage, Stacy parked her car and made her way into the building.

Standing in front of the entrance, she took a moment to soak in the view before her. The sight of doctors in their white coats, patients waiting patiently, and the distinct smell of disinfectant filled the air.

It was a scene she had always admired, and now she was a part of it.

Lost in her thoughts, Stacy was startled when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around to see a middle-aged lady standing there. "Are you Miss Feng?" the lady asked.

"Yes," Stacy replied with a smile.

"Then follow me," the lady said, leading her towards the elevator. They rode up to the cardiology department on the 4th floor, where a group of people awaited them.

The middle-aged lady introduced herself as Shen Yue, and Stacy quickly realized she was someone of importance in the company.

As Stacy entered the room, she noticed six individuals standing up to greet her. "Good morning, Mrs. Shen Yue," they all said in unison. Shen Yue nodded her head in acknowledgment before introducing Stacy to the team.

"This is Miss Feng Bai, your new team member, she is a graduate in the university of Cambridge and one of the best students there" Shen Yue announced. Stacy lowered her head respectfully and introduced herself.

"I am Feng Bai, known as Stacy. It's a pleasure to meet you all, and I hope to learn from each and every one of you."

The team leader, Mr. Ling, spoke up. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Stacy. We're glad to have you on board".

"Good, Miss Feng your locker is over there, your coat and I.D is in there" she said and walked away leaving her with her teammates.

As the team members exchanged pleasantries, Stacy couldn't help but notice some of them staring at her with jealousy.

She knew that she had been given a golden opportunity, and she was determined to prove herself worthy of it. But she knew it was not going to be an easy journey.
