Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 A Homecoming

Three months Ago.

In the bustling city of Shanghai, amidst the ceaseless flow of people and the cacophony of city life, a young lady in her twenties stepped out of the airport, marking her return to her homeland after a long absence.

Her name was Feng Bai, but she was more commonly known as Stacy. Dressed in a long brown skirt paired with a turtleneck white blouse and a matching brown blazer jacket.

She exuded an air of sophistication and style. Her limited edition black Chanel bag and perfectly coordinated white heels completed her ensemble.

A pair of Cartier dark shades perched elegantly on her face, adding an air of mystery to her already striking appearance. Her brown wavy hair cascaded gracefully over her shoulders, bouncing with each step she took.

Stacy had spent the past six and a half years abroad, wholly dedicated to her pursuit of knowledge in the field of medicine.

She had graduated as one of the top medical students from Cambridge University in England and had become a successful Cardiologist Surgeon after a few years of practice.

As beautiful as the morning dew, she was not only a skilled medical professional but also the sole heir to the Feng Company, poised to take over the family business.

As Stacy made her way through the airport with her suitcase in hand, her thoughts swirled with anticipation and nostalgia. She had missed her home, her family, and the city's vibrant energy.

However, her reunion with her hometown didn't start as smoothly as she had hoped. A young man, seemingly lost in his own world, bumped into her, causing her to stumble backward.

His assistant hurried to his side, checking to ensure he was alright. "Boss, are you alright?" he asked in a low voice.

But the man, who appeared to be in a foul mood, paid no attention to either his assistant or the lady he had collided with.

Irritated by his rude behavior, Stacy couldn't help but voice her annoyance.

"Hey, can't you say sorry?" she said, raising an eyebrow at the retreating man who didn't seem to mind her.

His assistant rushed over to apologize on his behalf, offering a hasty explanation before following his boss, who was already some distance away.

Stacy couldn't help but notice the handsome assistant and sighed, "What a rude man, but at least he has a polite assistant".

Brushing off the encounter, Stacy continued her journey through the airport. With an air of authority surrounding her, she finally reached the exit.

That's when a convoy of black Maybachs with tinted windows pulled up in front of her. Young men dressed in matching black suits and sunglasses, with security earpieces in their ears, swiftly exited the vehicles and formed a protective line in front of her.

"Miss Feng, welcome back," they said in unison, their voices brimming with formality and respect.

Stacy removed her dark shades, revealing her captivating eyes, and greeted them with a warm smile.

"Why all the formalities? We're all equals here. Please, call me Miss Stacy," she said, trying to break the ice. The guards exchanged awkward glances, clearly unaccustomed to such a casual address.

Stacy's patience wore thin as they struggled to pronounce her name. "I said, call me Miss Stacy," she repeated, her tone slightly annoyed. They all nodded in agreement.

"Miss Sta..ru" they couldn't seem to get the pronunciation right.

She smiled at them "don't worry you will get used to it" she said with a smile.

She handed her luggage to one of the guards, who promptly took it, and another guard opened the car door for her. "Old Li, how is my father and my mother?" she asked the driver as she settled into the luxurious interior of the car.

"Mr. Feng is fine, Miss. He's in a business meeting right now, and Mrs. Feng is at home, eagerly awaiting your return," Old Li replied, his voice full of warmth and familiarity.

"Okay, Old Li," Stacy acknowledged, her thoughts turning to her family as the convoy of cars departed from the airport.

Old Li had been their driver for a very long time, she had known him ever since she was a child, while she had so much respect for him. She saw him as family.

Upon arriving at their sprawling mansion, it was evident that the owner was a lover of nature. The property was adorned with a profusion of flowers, and gardens seemed to stretch in every direction.

As Stacy stepped out of the car, a figure darted out of the house with lightning speed and enveloped her in a passionate hug, nearly squeezing the breath out of her.

It was her Best friend, Yuan yuan, who had been eagerly awaiting her friend's return for a very long time. She had missed her so much that she thought she would never see her.

Tears welled up in Yuan yuan's eyes as she held Stacy tightly. "Feng Bai, you're finally home," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion.

Stacy returned the hug, equally moved by the reunion. "I missed you so much, Yuan yuan," she replied, her own voice choking with tears.

As she pulled away from her friend, She sighted her mother who walked up to her with a teary face, she too hastened her footstep and enveloped her mother Mrs. Feng in a mother's passionate hug.

"Mum, I missed you so much", she said with a cracked voice that was barely a whisper.

"My sweet child, I missed you more" the mother said, patting her head gently as tears fell from her eyes.

The security guards discreetly gave the family some privacy, keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings.

"Feng Bai, didn't you miss me too?" a deep baritone voice echoed from the inside, as she looked ahead she was shocked at who she saw.
