Chapter 55 - Bout

Tarun, with his special dragon wings, unfolded them like a big, magical cloak. Elena saw this and understood he wanted to pick her up and take her to the hotel. She said no because she wasn't sure, but Tarun insisted, "I'm just trying to be helpful, no tricks."

Lifting Elena with ease, he ascended into the sky and advised her to close her eyes if she was feeling uneasy due to height. Swiftly, he navigated towards the hotel, gently setting her down upon arrival. He Apologized once more, Elena graciously accepted, expressing that it was okay, and they proceeded together into the hotel.

Upon entering his room, he promptly retrieved packages from his item pocket and stored them in the fridge. Joseph, in the midst of cleaning his face with a towel, inquired, "Where did you go, and what did you buy?", seeing the packages in Tarun's hands.

Tarun explained, "We went to the cafe. The desserts there were so delicious that I ended up buying a bunch." Joseph, intrigued, remarked, "We?" Tarun clarified, "Yes, we—meaning Elena and me."

Hearing this, Vikram emerged from the bathroom with soap on his face and playfully jumped on Tarun, exclaiming, "You scoundrel, you went on a date with a girl without even mentioning anything about it to me!"

Tarun clarified, "We headed to the cafe for a quick bite, not with any specific intention." However, Vikram, still playful, tightened his grip on Tarun's neck, teasingly scolding, "You rascal, going on a cafe outing with a girl and not inviting me along!"

Tarun retorted, "You were snoozing like a log. How could I wake you?" Vikram, not convinced, shot back, "You scoundrel, instead of apologizing, you're trying to cover up your misdeeds." Joseph intervened, urging, "Forget it, freshen up, or we'll be late." He then stepped in to separate Vikram from Tarun, as Tarun struggled, tapping Vikram's hands, signaling him to let go.

As Vikram walked away, he muttered, "You're lucky, you scoundrel. If dinner plans weren't set, I would've ended you right here." With that threat hanging, he headed back to the bathroom, leaving Tarun to express gratitude to Joseph for stepping in.

Following Vikram, Tarun also freshened up, and the group set out for their exclusive dinner. Reuniting on the ground floor with other members, they made their way to the upscale restaurant. With pre-booked seats, they encountered no issues getting into the restaurant. That evening, they enjoyed one of the finest dinners of their lives.

After the dinner, everyone retired to their hotels, preparing for the significant day ahead. The next morning, as Vikram slowly regained consciousness, he glimpsed Joseph in his blurry vision and inquired about Tarun. Joseph responded, "He's in the gym, mentioned he has to train for an hour every day, no matter what the circumstances are."

Hearing this, Vikram swiftly stood up, expressing, "That scoundrel left me again, enjoying all by himself." Joseph countered, "He went for training, not to flirt with girls." Vikram exclaimed, "It's the same thing. Some men work hard to impress girls. It's a universal truth."

Joseph retorted, "How can you categorize Tarun among those guys?" Vikram swiftly responded, "Because he's single. Only a single, desperate guy can understand the struggles of another single guy. Come with me, and I'll clear your doubts."

Joseph followed Vikram to the gym, where Tarun was practicing in a boxing ring, ensuring his sword swings wouldn't endanger others. Observing this, Vikram approached the ring and asked, "Is your practice not done yet?"

Tarun turned towards the source of the voice, spotting Vikram. He replied, "Just a few more minutes, and I'll be done." Vikram suggested, "Practicing alone won't be as beneficial. How about a bout between us?"

Upon hearing Vikram's proposal, Tarun took a moment to consider and eventually responded with a nod, "Why not?" Joseph, sensing potential chaos, quickly intervened, cautioning, "Not here. If you both start a fight, it could lead to considerable damage." At that point, an unidentified voice from the back suggested a solution, "Why don't you take it to the training center?" It seemed like a sensible compromise to prevent any unintended consequences in the current setting. However Joseph not wanted to bring any unwanted attention there.
