Calista frowned as she tapped her fingers on the table. She leaned her back on the chair as she looked at the clear blue sky with her legs crossed. She let out a deep sigh and tapped her fingers harder with a darker expression on her face.
After the duke suddenly walked out, she lost her appetite and decided to go back to her room instead. Disappointment was an understatement, but after listening to Coton, she understood why the duke did that.
"My lady, your tea is here," Lola announced as she walked in with a warm teapot of her lady's favorite tea. She placed the teapot on the table and poured some on the lady's cup.
Calista took the cup and sipped on the tea. Her frowns slowly disappeared as the refreshing flavor of the tea soothed her nerves.
