A brown bushy tail wagged quickly and low to the ground while its floppy, well-furred ears rested on either side of its head—the wolf couldn't look any more domesticated.
Coton wouldn't believe it was a werewolf in the first place if he didn't see it shifting from its human form. "Is this real? This isn't a joke, right?" He asked no one in particular while watching the wolf wag its tail. He was looking at the wolf's face, but he could still remember how it looked like a few minutes ago.
He was trying to keep her mouth shut, so he covered her mouth with his bare hands when she suddenly shifted forms. Coton was only grateful he didn't lose a finger.
"I didn't know she's keeping one as a pet. Wasn't she supposed to be the lady's maid?" The duke wondered, staring at the wolf with strange ears he had never seen before. He tried reading her thoughts and failed.
