The devil's maze.
Everybody in the duchy believed the secret garden was somewhere inside it, however, nobody dared to find it.
As the head of the duchy, Damian was given access to all the exclusive areas in the territory, including the secret garden in the devil's maze. The maze itself was dangerous with all the evils lurking in it. Thus, the truth behind the secret garden remained unknown to the public for generations.
As the current ruler of the duchy, Damian had the power to summon the portal leading to the secret garden—a place between life and death. Going through the maze was unnecessary. The maze was only there to keep intruders away.
"Close your eyes," Damian whispered to Calista's ears as they stood in front of the maze.
