Damian grabbed Coton by the shoulders and shook him. "Are you sure about that? Did you check the body?"
Coton nodded while staring at the duke's eyes. He was appalled when the duke told him that the blood demon whose body was found in the pirate ship the other day was still alive, as well as the Count's daughter, who was already buried a few weeks ago.
"They were beheaded, your grace. Nobody would survive that, even for someone from the demon blood clan," the aide responded.
Damian shook his head. "We can't be sure about that, Coton. They fooled us the first time and they could do it again if we don't make sure they're dead. It's not even like I wanted them dead. They were the ones showing people they died and then suddenly emerged again to horrify their victims by making it known they didn't die at all," the duke said, clenching his jaw.
