"Trouble? What do you mean trouble?"
"There's been reports of a ghost in the northern pond," Vivia said.
"Are you sure it's not just some guy mistaking a skeleton in the mist?"
There was a pond in the northern part of the city. It had clear black water full of wastes. The pond had lots of catfish growing. And said catfish was really delicious.
I had a feeling our resident fox lady was looking to harvest the catfish and so was making up the ghost tales. But I couldn't just say it out loud.
"No, there have been reports of seeing something floating over the pond. I suspect there might be some sort of specter there. Though it could be just kids playing pranks or it could be actual monsters. We should check it out."
"I'm sure this city has lots of capable guards. Besides, one of the skeleton scouts will probably handle it."
"No, we should personally see to it. I mean, if it's a rare monster, we can level up and…" She started making excuses.
