Chapter 7 - Principal Osborn

Tristina and the other students nearby who heard Lawrence's words were completely baffled, almost like they couldn't believe in their own hearings.

Did he just send the door out for a duke's daughter?

That was the question going on in their mind.

After all, Lawrence was just the son of a marquis without an actual noble title for himself.

However, that doesn't mean the same for Clementine since she was the daughter of Duke Hamilton, a direct relative of Her Majesty.

It didn't even matter if Clementine had an official noble title or not. The blood running in her veins was royalty and Lawrence had just offended her without batting an eyelid.

"This is insane… just who is this noble to have such audacity?"

"Be quiet, he's the same person that made a scene in the entrance before when a group of people were blocking his path."

"More like the duke's daughter might fly into a rage and make us the collateral…"

As the commoners began to gossip among themselves, they couldn't help but feel like they were sitting near a ticking bomb.

A bomb that could explode into their vicinity.

Meanwhile, Tristina held an ashen face as she wondered what her fate would be like in prison.

'It's over… the young master's brain had truly gone to the negative score.' She thought. 'I thought he had changed somewhat, but it wasn't a change at all. He had gotten more unruly and even dared to mess with a duke's daughter. How is Marquis Matthew going to bail him out in this situation?'

"No thanks, I'll just sit in the same row," Clementine smiled lightly, not caring the slightest regarding Lawrence's taunt.

"Suit yourself then," Lawrence shrugged his shoulders, remaining indifferent to her.

'A duke's daughter, Clementine? Yeah, I remember you pretty well back then.' He exclaimed inwardly, his thought remained unknown.

Sometime later, the crowd turned silent when an elderly man began to take the center stage.

Lawrence's eyes turned watery for a few seconds before wiping them off. After all, the elderly man was someone he was familiar with back then.

'Principal Osborn… a true dignified man that sacrificed his life for the sake of the kingdom.'

"Good morning, everyone. Welcome to the Tatum Academy established by our Queen, Elizabeth Von Vermillion. I'm your principal, Osborn Farion, and I just want to emphasize that this academy promotes equality." The principal, Osborn Farion announced.

"That is to say, nobles and commoners are merely students here. No one is allowed to use their status. Is that clear for everyone?"

Despite saying that, the crowd remained silent. Not a single sound could be heard, prompting Osborn Farion to sigh softly at this outcome.

'Sigh, when will these nobles learn that they are no different than the commoners.' Osborn Farion coughed slightly as he decided to move on with the topic.

The Tatum Academy had only been established 3 years ago, so not everyone was willing to adapt to the changes, especially the nobles who thought it was beneath them to interact with commoners.

"Although everyone has been accepted to attend the Tatum Academy, there is still an entrance exam where we will test your affinity in elements and your mana." Osborn Farion announced, turning around to look at a young instructor.

The instructor was a woman around her mid-20s and exuded an air of elegance. From the badge on her left chest, it indicated that she came from a prestigious family as well.

"I shall have your examiner introduce herself," Osborn Farion said and stepped away from the center stage, allowing the young instructor to take the lead.

The young woman instructor exuded an aura of confidence and grace.

Her steps were deliberate, yet each movement had a certain fluidity that suggested she was in perfect harmony with the magic that surrounded her.

She carried herself with a sense of purpose and a dedication to nurturing the potential of her students.

Her appearance was enchanting, with long, flowing hair the color of moonlight that cascaded down her back like a silken waterfall.

Her eyes sparkled with an otherworldly wisdom, a shade of deep, iridescent blue that seemed to hold the secrets of the cosmos. Her skin was fair, with a faint, ethereal glow, as if she were touched by magic itself.

She was donned in robes of rich, deep indigo adorned with intricate patterns of stars and moons. A flowing cloak, lined with silvery runes, billowed behind her as she moved. Her attire was both practical and regal, reflecting her mastery of the arcane arts.

Seeing her from afar, Lawrence recognized who she was right away.

"Seraphine Nightshade…" Lawrence muttered softly.

"You know about her, Young Master?" Tristina, who heard Lawrence muttering, asked in disbelief. It wasn't that she was surprised about the name of the young woman instructor, but the fact that Lawrence had heard about her.

Anything related to the academy, Lawrence had never been interested in it.

Suddenly, a terrifying thought appeared in her mind.

Lowering her tone to a barely audible one, she warned, "Young Master, you must not act recklessly toward her. Instructor Seraphine isn't someone you should target. She's different from the commoner women that you have… done before."

With her understanding of her perverted and hopeless Young Master, she was quick to believe that Lawrence was attempting to violate Seraphine Nightshade.

Other commoner women, Tristina could only turn a blind eye and let them be ravaged.

Who told them to be born of such an ill-fated life?

However, women such as Seraphine Nightshade were in a different category.

She cannot afford to let Lawrence attempt to target women of such high status. If Lawrence had truly committed such an atrocity, her life would be forfeited immediately, followed by a bunch of other people who would be thrown in to save his life.

That was just how harsh the reality and circumstances were in the Tatum Kingdom despite the Queen's effort to promote the Neutrality law.

"Is your brain fried or what?" Lawrence suddenly snorted coldly and flickered her forehead.

"If your brain got nothing good, then you might as well fry it up and eat it." He added, rolling his eyes at her nonsensical warning.
