The Director watched as the black liquid spiraled into the sky, thick tendrils forming and whipping around as if alive. His senses were on high alert, his eyes narrowing as the liquid expanded unnaturally.
"What the hell is this?" he muttered, tapping the side of his head to activate his comms. "Gojaro, status report—now!"
Static buzzed before Gojaro's voice came through, sounding tense. "Sir, I have the gem in my hand… but what is that? Damn it! We're getting out of here—Valaria, hold on tight!"
The Director glanced up. Gojaro, with Valaria clinging to his back, was hovering above, clearly shaken by the black liquid's sudden and aggressive expansion. The Director grimaced, knowing this wasn't just an ordinary threat.
"Gojaro, just teleport back from here. It's fine if it's seen," the Director ordered.
