Brian reluctantly went to open it, never expecting someone to enter without his permission in such a private place. However, his anger grew even stronger when he saw Evans Shore standing at the doorstep, holding a basket of fruits and a bouquet of flowers.
Behind Evans was his assistant, Grace, a teary-eyed young girl who peeked from behind him. As soon as she saw Marigold in the hospital room, she rushed in and hugged her, bursting into tears.
"Boss... I was so scared! You finally came back! I was afraid you wouldn't return..." she sobbed.
"Tsk tsk, what are you saying?" Brian immediately interrupted her, "With me here, how could your boss not come back? Ridiculous. Just look at who did the chasing. The CEO personally pursued the Vice President and finally won her over—how does that sound? It feels like a headline for tomorrow's front page."
