Marigold's cheeks flushed, "I-I can manage on my own, there's no need for such a grand display."
Brian intentionally leaned in close, his gaze sweeping over her entire body, then gently rested his chin in the hollow of her shoulder, playfully saying, "Are you afraid... of having a reaction when I touch you? Your body is the most sensitive, I know. Sensitivity is a good thing. I'll make you feel comfortable."
"What are you saying!" Marigold gently pushed his head away, coquettishly protesting, "Don't talk about these irrelevant things. Is the work taken care of?"
"Sooner or later, I'll unplug the internet cable!" Brian, feeling rejected, rubbed his head and grumbled.
"We can get satellite internet, so even if you're out at sea, there's no need to worry."
Brian, infuriated, stormed over to the computer and loudly closed his laptop with a snap.
"I'm done, going to bed."
