Half-stripping a maid, I felt my heart drop and break. I slammed the door and ran to my bedroom. How was I so foolish? I felt tears falling down my cheeks when I ran into someone. I couldn't see who it was because of my tears and the fact that I ran past them so quickly. As soon as I arrived in my bedroom, I locked myself inside and threw myself on my bed, crying my broken heart out.
**Espen POV**
I saw Taraji looking down at the floor. It was strange, I thought. "Hey, Taraji!" I greeted her, but she bumped into me and ran off. My chest felt wet, so I looked down and saw... tears dropping? I looked worriedly at Jackson before running to where she had come from. I opened the door and saw Marcus all over a maid. I got mad and ran toward Marco, punching him hard in the jaw. The maid screamed and ran off. Jackson came running to us, and I kept beating that scumbag over and over again. I felt Jackson pulling me off a bloody Marcus. He held me in his arms. "Arthur!!" he screamed for him. I kept trying to wiggle my way out of his grasp. "I'll kill you, Marcus! Let me go, Jackson!" I screamed in anger.
Jackson pulled me out of the room, and Arthur came running to us, very confused. "What happened?" he asked us. I was too angry to answer. "All I saw was Esper beating the hell out of Marcus," he said, holding me back. "Espen, what happened? Why were you beating Marcus?" he asked me. "HE MADE TARAJI CRY! HE WAS ALMOST FUCKING A MAID!" I screamed while I was wiggling in Jackson's grip. Jackson kissed me, and I finally calmed down. We pulled away, and I told Arthur what I saw and about the incident with Taraji. They both glared at the door but didn't go to it. We all went to Taraji's bedroom door, and Jackson knocked on the door. "Hey Taraji... can we come in?" he asked through the door.
There was no response, not even a sound. "Is everything okay?" he tried again. I heard some shuffling and a creak, then the door opened. I couldn't see her anywhere. I turned to Arthur, who was standing right next to me. We went into the room and saw Taraji crying on the bed. We all went to her and sat down beside her. Arthur took her in his arms and hugged her. She was still crying even in his arms. I want to make Marcus pay so badly for making her cry.
We sat there like that for a few minutes when Arthur broke the silence. "So, how are you feeling, Taraji?" he asked her. "My mouth hurts; I feel dizzy," she answered back. "I will get you something to drink," said Jackson before getting up and walking off. While he was gone, Arthur was stroking her hair and whispering reassuring words in her ear. After a long while, they both stopped talking. When they did, I stood up from her bed and looked at her. "You're going to be fine, Taraji. You don't need that rat. You deserve so much better," I told her with a smile. She wiped her tears away and looked up at me with a soft smile. "You are right... someone may be waiting for me... someone who wouldn't hurt me like he did," she said with a smile and soft sobs in between. Jackson came back with a glass of water and some painkillers. He gave her the cup and pills; she thanked him and swallowed the pills with water before leaning against me. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her.
