"is it just me or did we all just sit here and watch them talk as they strolled round the whole mansion for four good hours" holly exclaimed
" Well I wasn't here the whole four hours, got to feed my hunger before it feeds me weakness " Oscar who seemed invisible the whole time inspection thing start finally uttered a sentence.
"Laughs, you'll get used to it , never knew nanny Athalia worked here and as a secretary at that " Claire sighed feeling nostalgic about the whole thing.
" Yeah, it's good to finally see an old face we are familiar with" rein added.
Knowing the gossip nature of the group , Rein went on to explain their relationship with Athalia.
Well since they and their father and their family were immigrants from England, they sought for refuge with an old friend of their father's who later introduced them to Athalia. At first She and Klaus weren't comfortable around her since she was mostly on about her sorcery stuff , gift to be more precise each time she came by to say hello and the gift was mostly a prank which over the years dulled their excitement towards presents from strangers.
She helped deliver Claire and Ryan given the predicament they were involved with of not being pure natives of the United States and because of that their attitude towards foreigners who coke for treatment were always as cold as a steel from an ice cube. She could be said to be more of a benefactor than an acquaintance.
After learning of their relationship with Athalia, the group were more amazed and envious of them.
"If that's the case, I got to say, you guys seem to have more connection with this place than even we who had been hear since a long while" Cui yunlin comment with her spectacle on.
"Oi, don't even start with cringe comments y'all. Though it's true we are still newbie in the system here either ways. I guess the bet this time is my win" Rein with an unusual grin reminded the group while she has her while hands on the money on the table. Holly not loosing out smiled along with her
"I guess we sharing this right?, 30 percent of em money should be mine"
"Well the remaining 20 to me I guess" Vincent interject with a stern voice.
The others looked at them with green stomach, they all felt embarrassed seeing as how the three were planning on splitting a large sum of the cash prize. A total of three humans four bucks two cents weas share just like that.
Ryan on the other side was sitter in the large office space within the mansion. Obviously it was his first time there and the fact that the person who smacked him earlier was someone familiar made it impossible for him to act out like he had done a few hours ago.
The office door open and Athalia enters with a tired expression written all over her face.
"Take off that nonsense skin mask of yours, it makes you look more ugly" she said massage the middle of her brows.
"Y...yes ma'am" he replied all nervous. Athalia felt the whole situation funny, Ryan was said to have been very bold and daring in front of those specialists whom had just left buy timid in front of her. Her single sentence made him feel very powerless to utter a single word.
"I...have done as you told" he answered with his heads down not confident to raise his head up. Athalia laughed as she proceeded to looking at the computer in front of her whilst her fingers danced around the keyboard. The room was silent the moment she began.
After about half an hour she raised he head to look at Ryan whose face was still down with his fingers fidgeting,beads if sweat rolled down his forehead still nervous to say or do anything.
" Come in now , if others see this they might get to misunderstand what's going on. Relax it's not like we are strangers" she after a pause still noticed that he was still the same decided to excuse him from her office.
" Thank heavens, I'm alive" he whispered the moment he was out of the room and with no further dilly dally, he left for the underground facility.
Athalia having heard his words just smiled, she reached for her drawer and brought out a small device which looked like an English pen with the exception of it not having a cover. She then inserted the tip of the pen into a certain hole beside her drawer, after inserting it notification sound could be heard echoing all over within the whole mansion.
Many received notifications in their individual space to go on missions in different parts of the country, some outside the country, some to receive special training in a different location or base while very few were told to remain within the mansion for their own training and amongst those who were asked to stay were of course Rein, Claire, Ryan, yunlin, Shawn, Sonia, Holly, Vincent, Crook and oscar which was unexpected situation.
Sonia and others were not very much surprised since they had always been together from start as a team but that wasn't the same for Holly, Oscar and Crook especially since he was more or less a field leader who had be trained and had also trained many superhumans for the organization.
Crook staring at the communication device in his hands dialed a number to clarify the situation. Angry discontented voice could be heard from his room which made most people nervous each time the passed by.
This continued for almost half an hour before everything bece solemn.
Another notification was sent to everyone about their various grouping and teams with locations of where to go and time of departure though the time to return was not usually specified since each team was usually called back at different times to avoid suspicions.
