Chereads / My Assassination System / Chapter 6 - Stats Panel

Chapter 6 - Stats Panel

The moment that Nathan thought about his current power level, another prompt unexpectedly appeared in front of him.

[Nathan Smith

Age: 19

Power level: 1 star level 8

Affinity: Shadow

Skills: Shadow Conceal, Rapid strike Shadow steps, shadow blink, power boost, Shadow clone, dagger illusion.

Title: None]

[The host currently possesses seven skills. The host will maintain this number of skills until a certain level where the number of skills that the host can possess is unlocked.]

[The system will enable the host to upgrade his strength together with upgrading the level of the skills that he possesses to be able to match his level.]

Nathan looked at the information in front of him, not as much surprised as the first time that the screen appeared in front of him. The information in front of him actually summarized the information about himself.

And just as he had expected, he was actually at 1 star level 8. To say the truth, he had not expected that he was going to actually improve by two levels after taking the reconstruction pill. But even then it was good, considering that he had to make sure that he reached that level as soon as possible, in order to deal with the grievance that was disturbing him.

It was true that the one that possessed enmity with the person who had destroyed the city where Nathan lived before was not related to the current Nathan, but even then, Nathan felt that there was that will that was pushing him to complete the grievance that he possessed.

If he did not do that, he felt like he was going to be pushed out of the body. Although he felt like if he was actually pushed to vacate this body, he would be going back to his own world, he was not willing to do that for now. Additionally, there was no guarantee that he wouldn't die the moment that his soul was pushed out of this body.

So, the first thing that he had to do was to make sure that he got stronger. Additionally, he understood that currently, he was being hunted by those people that he had killed the young master of that family.

For that reason, he had to get stronger enough to be able to resist them. Currently, he was in the same city that he had just completed the assassination. Of course, nobody would believe that he would recover so fast.

It was a good thing that during the time that he was doing the assassination, he was wearing a mask and was concealing his appearance. Otherwise, he would definitely not be capable of walking out there. Currently, he believed that the members of that family would definitely be looking for a person, a youth who was injured.

But there was one thing that made Nathan frown. That was the fact that his skills were actually limited to seven. He was not sure about the aim of the system in limiting the number of skills that he could possess, but even then, he decided to just go along with it.

In any case, with fewer skills, his mastery over them would definitely be higher. Additionally, it should not be that difficult for him to be able to increase the level of the skills considering that the system was going to assist, although he did not know how it was going to do that.

In this world, the skills were actually ranked the same way as the power levels. It was just that the skills were only ranked from 1 star to 5 stars without any numbers in between.

One star skills could only be utilized by those that had already reached the first star level, from level 1 to level 9. As for those that had reached the second star, only those at the second star level could utilize them.

Currently, all the skills that Nathan possessed were at 1 star level. But even then, he believed that he was definitely close to reaching the 2 star level for several skills, and the breakthrough to that level only depended on his own power level.

Nathan remained in the room for quite a while, trying to understand the power that he possessed. Since his power had suddenly dropped, he had to get used to the feeling of being weak.

For that reason, using the limited space that was present within the living room of that house that he was staying in, he practiced his movements, and made sure that he understood the skills that he currently possessed well enough.

It was then that he understood one thing, he possessed the shadow affinity just as it had been displayed in the information panel that had been displayed in front of him by the system.

In this world, people possessed affinities. Of course it was not that just anybody could possess an affinity towards an element or a certain supernatural ability. It was just a certain small number of people that possessed that affinity, and they were considered as geniuses.

Nathan was possessing the shadow affinity, the affinity that allowed him to blend well enough with the shadows. That was the reason why the majority of the skills that he possessed were related to the shadow.

It was due to this affinity that he was actually capable of joining the Rapid Kill Assassination organization. Otherwise, he would definitely not be capable of joining it with the talent that he initially possessed.

Among the 100 that had been selected during the time that he was joining that organization, he was ranked among the last ones. He was actually number 98 among the 100 in terms of power levels and combat strength.

As for the other two, they had only joined the organization due to the connections that they possessed, and not due to the talents that they had. Otherwise, they just like himself, would have definitely not been capable of joining that assassination organization.

But now, Nathan had already reached level 8 of 1 star level. With this power, he was definitely going to be ranked among the top 50. As for those that were already in the top 10, they had already reached 1 star level 9 and above. There were actually some of them that had already reached 2 star level.

Nathan was currently thinking of something, and that was how he was going to utilize this so-called system in order to be able to gain an advantage, to complete this grievance that he was having in his heart right now.

The moment that he thought about it, another prompt popped up in front of him.

[The host should be able to level up as long as he kills the monsters. The number of monsters does not matter, but the power level of the monsters killed is considered if the host wants to level up.]

[To be able to level up, the host should kill monsters of the same level as himself, or even stronger. The stronger the monster that the host kills, the higher the chances of the host level up are.]

[The host will also gain rewards from the system as long as he completes the mission. The missions will appear according to the situation that the host is facing, but the majority of the missions would be related to assassinations.]

Nathan went through the information the second time even after hearing the voice. At that moment, he understood that if he wanted to level up, had to depend on the system if he had to reach the top with the highest speed possible.

Additionally, it seemed that he had to maintain being an assassin. That was not a problem for him considering that even before coming into this world, he was already an assassin, and he had already gotten used to doing the missions.

It was just that In this world, he was definitely not going to receive the privilege of being given missions that were related to his principles. But even then, he would try as much as possible to make sure that the missions that he took were all related to his principles. Otherwise, he would definitely ignore them.

But the only problem was going to be the system. Would the missions that he would be given be related to his own principles or not?

This time, he did not receive any prompt from the system to explain to him about the missions. But even then, he did not care, considering that right now, he was thinking of one thing, and that was going out to hunt monsters.

For the mission, he was given a time limit of 2 weeks, and he had already spent an entire week looking for information about the young master that he was supposed to assassinate. And right now, he was only remaining with 5 days. Within those 5 days, he wanted to make sure that he reached 2 star rank.

But Nathan had just thought of going out to hunt monsters out of the city when suddenly, he heard a knock at his door.
