One hot summer day Mira watched her dear friend being rejected by her fated mate, but she also saw the alpha to be, fall on his knees in pain from the rejection while her friend walked away with her head held high and the aura surrounding her was that of an alpha. This pack never listened to their pack members and the alpha only cared about their finances and nothing else. Even the council members warned the alpha and his son to treat her friend kindly, but they didn't heed their warning which would lead them to their doom.
This is a story about how I was found as a pup by the border patrol. Apparently, a rogue had tried to kill me and my best friend Mira that day. The alpha thought that we were omegas, but little did he know that we weren't of omega blood. I had decided that day that I could forget everything they put me through but this I will never ever forgive. I will be back one day and when that day comes, they will bow down and beg me for mercy which I won't give them. They don't deserve it. My name is Serena and my Lycans name is Rena, and this is our story.
18 years ago, a pup was born, and the king and queen was so happy that their daughter was finally born. They had looked forward to this for a very long time but then in the middle of the night they awoke hearing the alarm and chaos outside and inside of the castle they panicked when they felt this feeling of uneasiness in their gut so they ran as fast as they could to the baby chamber and what they saw made the queen break down in sadness and anger. Someone had kidnapped their baby girl and stolen her from them. They had only had her in their arms once and now she is gone. Her mate was in rage and ran around ordering the guards and tracker to turn every stone and search everywhere for their little girl but when they got the news from their beta that their daughter also had been kidnapped they felt a little relief because maybe their daughter and the betas daughter are together right know and if the kidnapper's get killed and someone finds their children and take them in then they know that those two will grow up together and protect each other until they shift and can return home. All they had to do was wait because a Lycan always finds their way home especially children.
A week later a warrior on patrol finds two newborn pups by the border and links his alpha asking him what they should do but as soon as he closed the mind link, he sees two rogues in human form talking about how easy it was to kidnap the children from their parents and how their leader asked them to kill the kids. The warrior couldn't stand it any longer and killed the rogues and then he took both kids in his arms and in that moment, he decided that he would raise them as his own. He asked another warrior to take his shift. Then he walked home to his mate. they had tried for years to get kids, but it didn't work. When he got home, he asked her to open the door for him which she did and when she saw the two bundles of joy in his arms, she felt the need to protect them and keep them hidden so she took them from his arms and placed them in her own. And when she held them in her arms, she felt like they were important and would do wonders in the future, so she told her mate that they were staying with them. She knew the moment she saw them that they were special and needed to be protected. It was a good thing that she is one of the teachers of the daycare in the pack and always has diapers and food for newborn at him duo to the fact that pack members sometimes asked her to babysit their pups when they must work or something. When she had fed them and put them to sleep, she told her mate to talk to the alpha tomorrow which he promised he would. Her mate was the delta of the pack which made her the delta female. Her mate was offered to be beta before they met but he declined the offer.
They woke up early in the morning and made some breakfast then he kissed his mate Mika on her cheek and left the house. He walked for five minutes then he walked inside the pack house and greeted the omegas and walked upstairs to the second floor where the alpha had his office. He knocked on the door and then waited and when he heard his alpha telling him to come in, he opened the door and walked inside and then closed it behind him then he sat down on the chair in front of the alphas office table.
"What did you find out marc?" said the alpha.
"Well about the pups I found yesterday, apparently the two rogues I killed kidnapped them from their parents and was ordered by their leader to kill the pups." Said marc.
"That sounds bad. What kind of monster would order to kill two innocent pups? Tell the trackers and warriors to search everywhere for the parents." Said the alpha.
"If we don't find the parents, would it be okey with you if me and my mate adopt them as ours?" said marc.
"If we don't find their parents then the answer is yes you can." Said the alpha.
Then he walked out of the alphas office and did as he told him. He ordered the trackers and warriors to search everywhere for the children's parents. But to no avail they failed they couldn't find anything except that the kids might have been kidnaped from the Lycan castle and if that is the case then marc knew that the alpha would tell him to get the kids away from her because angry Lycans who have been stolen of their kids won't listen to reason. He told the warriors to keep quite about this because the kids smell like werewolves so there is no need to speculate and tell the alpha when it may not be true. They decided not to tell the alpha and walked back to their duties. But marc knew that the kids weren't werewolves. He could feel it in his guts that the kids are 100 % Lycan's. he and his wolf mike felt protective over the kids and their instincts told them to protect them no matter what. And that's what they are going to do.
Five years later.
"Mira! stop running in the hallway and go wash your hands young lady." Yelled Mika.
Mira laughed and ran over to hide behind Marc as to take cover from her mom Mika. Marc laughed and picked up Mira in his arms and carried her to the bathroom and help her wash her hands and brush her teeth then he gave her to Mika who had entered the bathroom and watched them with a smile on her lips. She held Mira in her arms and carried her to her room and then picked out some clothes and put her down on her bed and then she helped her take of her pajamas and then dressed her for the day. When she was done getting Mira dressed, she walks to the room next door only to find it empty. Then two minutes later she saw her mate walking towards her with a sleepy Serena in his arms. He has washed her face because she fell asleep at the dinner table with her face in her bowl with porridge. And then he also brushed her teeth. He walked with his mate to Serena's room and sat down on her bed with her in his lap so they could get her dressed. After they had changed her clothes and packed down their clothes in their bags Mika carried Mira in her arms while holding her kid's bags only to give them to Marc which he gladly took. Then they walked together to the daycare. When they got there Serena started crying telling them that she wanted to stay with her dad and seeing that she didn't stop or let him go he decided to take her with him today. She was a little under the weather today after all. His mate kissed them goodbye and walked inside with Mira who looked behind her for her sister. She knew that her sister was safe with their foster father, so she didn't need to worry about her. Meanwhile Marc worried about their daughter she didn't let him go the whole day. She was clinging to him like a monkey baby do on their mother, so they don't fall on the ground. And every time he tried to put her down, she started crying and wouldn't stop until he picked her up in his arms again. The alpha only thought that it looked funny to see his delta being bossed around by a five-year-old kid. And the beta and gamma thought so too. Sometimes all three laughed at him and he would just look at them like they were crazy, but the weirdest thing was that every time the other laughed at him his kid laughed too. He felt stupid but at the same time she was his little baby girl. He and his wolf would do anything for her and if she is happy, they are happy. He will not let anyone hurt his little baby girl. He just hopes that he will still be alive to see his kids find their mates and get a family and kids on their own and then he can watch his grandkids grow up, but he knows that may not happen. Not with his kind of job. Which means that he needs to find someone who can take care of their kids if the die one day. Maybe his mates sister or his brother. He will have to call them and ask. When he got home, he put her to bed for her nap and then he picked up his phone and dialed his brothers phone number.
Beep...Beep...beep...beep...beep.
"Hello" said a husky voice.
"Hi brother, its me." Said Marc.
"Oh, hello brother what's up?"
"I called to check on you and to ask you for a favor." Said Marc with a serious voice.
"Well, it's fine my mate is well too. What favor?"
"Well, you know that we adopted two kids five years ago, right? Well, it just hit me today that we might not get to see our kids grow up or even meet our grandkids, so I wanted to ask just in case but if and I mean if something happens before they are eighteen and we are no longer here do you think you guys could take care of them for me?" said Marc.
"Yeah, you mentioned that. Huh, wait why are thinking of this now? Has something happened?"
"No nothing has happened it's just that our job are dangerous and if something should happen on a mission what happens to our kids. Please brother I can't think of anyone who would take care of them like their own except you and your mate." said Marc.
"Yeah, I understand where you're coming from brother, I do but you need to make it back for your kids. And I know what you mean Mikas sister isn't very reliable. Okey, I promise you that if it comes to that and one day you guys die I and my mate will return home and raise them as our own and keep them safe for you okey."
"Thanks brother. I will try not to die and so will my mate. Bye bro.," said Marc.
"Bye"
Then the call ended.
When I turned around, I flinched because I hadn't noticed that my make had come home and when I turned around, she stood behind me and it turns out she heard everything because of the unshed tears in her eyes. She gave me a sad smile which I returned. She understood why I had called because the next mission we are going to are very dangerous and we could get killed for doing this. We know that our girls are Lycan's and because of that and the aura they give out we must protect them. tonight, we will go visit my old friend in the city who is a witch. She will help us find their real parents and then we can go search for them after we come back from our mission. But first we need my friend to help us hide the girl's auras and Lycans until they are strong enough to go through the shift. When it got dark, we said our goodbyes to the alpha and beta and told them that we will be back in the morning. We put the kids in their child seats and put the seatbelts on and then we closed the backseat doors and then I opened the driver seat door and sat down and closed the door while Mika was sitting in the passenger seat. We fastened the seatbelts and then I started the car and then we drove away from the pack. When we got to the city it was almost midnight and then we turned into our usual hidden house that not even the Lycan's can find its our safe house. We drove through the barrier and then when we saw the parking lot next to the house, I parked the car and then we walked outside and carried the kids in our arms. I unlocked the door and opened it and Mika walked inside then I walked after her. And the house looked a lot like a mansion. When we walked into the living room, we saw our friend sitting there with a cup of tea in her hand. After we had sat down on the coach we talked.
"Alright let's go down to business what can I help you with?" said Aria.
"First, we need you to hide our daughters' auras and then you must make sure that they don't shift until they are strong enough to survive the shift. And then we need your help to locate their real parents." Said Mika.
"Well, the first is easy so I will begin with that, I had a feeling you would ask me that, so I already made a potion in the form of a medicine pill and it's important that they take it twice every day. And about their parents I have brought a friend with me she is a seer so she can probably answer you right now." Said Aria.
"Thanks Aria. We will give it to them twice a day I promise. Really that's great let's hear it then." Said Mika.
"You're welcome. Good. Reiko, can you come here and let's begin." Said Aria.
"Sure sis. Let's begin." Said Reiko.
She walked into the living room and sat down next to Aria and then she put down her crystal ball on the table and told the girls to put their hands on the crystal ball after she has put her hands on it. They followed her lead and then she said some spell in a foreign language.
"What do you see?" asked Aria.
"I see a queen and king who lost they newborn girl the same night she was born she was kidnaped together with the king's betas newborn daughter. They searched everywhere only to not find a trace of them. the queen is sad and preys to the goddess for the safety of her and her betas child. I also see a young girl at her 18 birthday she will have to choose to either leave the pack or stay and if she stays her mate will be the death of her. If she leaves to find her parents, she will have a bright future ahead. The other girl will never leave her side and protect her. Sadly, their future isn't all about happiness there is some sadness too." Said Reiko.
"What king and queen?" said Mika.
"Serena is the daughter of the Lycan king and queen, and Mira is their betas daughter. Which means that Mira will never leave her future queen behind without knowing that she is safe, or she will follow her everywhere to keep her safe." Said Reiko.
Then she put her hands away. When aria looked at her friend, she only saw how stunned they looked by this news. but she also knew by Reiko's look that they won't be alive to see their kids growing up which makes her sad.
"Please come back alive." Said Aria.
"I can't promise you, but we will try. If we die, please protect our children aria. I have told my brother to take care of them. But should something happen to them then you are all they have left. We already made you their godmother a while back so if something happens to us and my brother can't take care of them then please take care of them for us Aria. Keep them safe. We must leave for a mission tomorrow so we will leave the kids in your care until we are back. and if we don't make it back after 3 weeks then you know what to do." Said Marc.
"Alright. Yeah, I know. I will I promise I won't let any harm come their way." Said Aria.
They kissed their kids and hugged them one last time then they stood up and whispered bye for aria to hear. She nodded. They smiled and walked outside and when she heard their car roar to life and leave, she broke down in Reiko's arms. They both know that this may be the last time they get to see their friends again. Mika broke down in tears in the car, but she was more determined than ever to make it home alive and her mate was too.
When Marc and Mika arrived at the pack they saw their team of enforcers, hunters, trackers and warriors getting ready and packing the trucks. They smiled at each other and intertwined their hands then they walked up to their team and greeted them. the alpha smiled worriedly at his deltas and hugged them while telling them to come home alive. They answered with a nod and walked to the front truck and sat down in the backseat then they left. They had a total of 6 black trucks with bulletproof windows. The whole truck had hidden weapons everywhere. It was a four-hour ride to the pack they were going to help and apparently, they had some problems with rogues and as they are a neighbor and allied pack, they must help them. but something didn't sit well with them and before they reached the pack, they immediately sensed that something was very wrong and order the drivers to turn around and drive back to the pack house fast. And they did. When they reached the pack, they saw the warriors forming a circle around their alpha while fending of some rogues. They beta and gamma fought off ten rogues together as a pair. The deltas jumped out of the car and took out their guns with silver bullets and shot as many rogues as they could, and their team did the same. Except that some of their team members used bow and arrow, stabbing with poisoned knifes etc. to kill the rogues. Marc then hurried with his mate towards the alpha when he saw a rogue running towards his mate, so he pushed her towards the alpha and the alpha caught her but the rogue bit Marc into his left shoulder, he took his gun fast and shot the rogue in his head. He felt his skin burn and how his wolf got weaker that's when he knew that the rogue, he killed had poisoned his teeth and mind linked his team and alpha about this. The rest of the rogues retreated, and the pack doctor came running and carried him away to the pack hospital. His mate and alpha followed. They put him in the ER and started to give him a blood transfer so he didn't die of blood loss then they took some blood samples and walked away with them to the lab so that they could find out which poison it was so that they can heal him faster and after two hours of doing everything they can to stop him from bleeding out they finally got the test result back from the lab. But it wasn't any good news they have never heard of this poison before which meant that he would probably die. The pack doctor gave the news to his mate and their alpha. Mika broke down in tears and picked up her phone and called Aria.
Beep. Beep. beep.
"Hello. Mika is that you?" said Aria.
"Hhi yes." Mika said weakly while sobbing.
"What's wrong? What happened? Why are you crying?" Said Aria worriedly.
"Marc he's dying. He got poisoned because he protected me and now, they don't recognize the poison so they can't help him. Aria, please help me I can't do this I can't lose my mate the love of my life and best friend." Said Mika in hiccups from sobbing.
"No! I won't let my friend die. Mika, can you tell me what the name of the poison is and what the side effects are?" said Aria.
"Thanks. Well, we don't know they name only the ingredients which is wolfsbane, silver, vampire blood mixed with snake poison. And the side effects are weakening his wolf, stop him from healing, severe blood loss, burning skin, and excruciating pain." Said Mika.
"No, it can't be. I'm on my way tell them to put some cold water in a bathtub with ice cubes in and tell them to hold him down into the tub until I get there. If they don't, he will be dead before I can teleport myself there. Just send me your location and I will be there in 5 minutes. Bye." Said Aria.
Then the call ended. Mika ran to the pack doctor and told him what to do which he did. Then she asked the alpha, gamma and beta to help her keep her mate down in the tub until Aria gets her. The alpha knows about her being friends with a witch because Aria's grandmother used to be the pack elder and witch until her mother took over. But her mother is too busy with interrogating the rogues they caught, so she can't help them right now. Five minutes later Aria showed up with a big bag. She draws a pentagram and a circle on the floor then she told them to carry the tub with Marc in it to place it in the middle of the circle then she lit up some black candles and put them inside the circle and then she took out an old ancient book and brought a bowl of some sort then she summoned her mother to help her with the spell. When her mom saw the delta, she didn't question her daughter and told the others that no matter what they must hold him down hard and that he can't leave the tub before the spell is complete and to not stop them or he will die. Then they chant in some foreign language and then they cut their wrists and let the blood drop down in the bowl then they joined their wrists together and took a cloth to tie their wrists together then they cut the deltas wrist and let his blood drop down in the bowl then they started chanting again and then he started to scream in pain and began to try to move but they held a firm hold on him. Then they stopped and poured some potion in the bowl and when they mixed it together they began to chant again then they put some blessed water from the goddess herself in the bowl and chanted again then they stopped and Aria opened his mouth while her mother took the bowl and made him drink every last drop that was in the bowl and then he started screaming in pain and then they could hear him start to shift. The witch ordered the alpha to make him to stop while using his alpha voice or else he will die straight away. The alpha used his alpha voice and told him to stop which he did. After eight hours Marc was beginning to heal and got better. Aria said goodbye to her mom then they left. Mika smiled and thanked them before they left then she walked to her mate and sat down on a chair beside his bed and held his hand tightly afraid that he would disappear without her knowing.
When aria returned home to Reiko and the kids she walked to her bedroom to rest. She fell asleep as soon as she put her head on her pillow. Reiko and the kids were sleeping already.
A week later Marc woke up to find his mate crying and hugged him. He hugged her back afraid to let go. He remembers that he almost died and how Aria helped him. It was a relief that he was still alive. He thought that he would die this time, but he would have died happy because he managed to protect his mate. but he couldn't help feeling glad that he didn't because if he did then the kids would have probably lost them both. He was sure that Mika would follow him if he died. And because of that he realized that he needs to find someone who can replace him as delta so he can quit and be with his family until it's time to say goodbye. His mate seemed to have noticed what he thought about and smiled while nodding her head. That was the answer he needed. He then mind-linked the alpha to tell him about finding someone to replace him and his mate as deltas so that they can spend their time with the kids. The alpha understood where he was coming from and agreed to help him find a replacement. He was discharged three days later and could return home again. They had their hands intertwined and walked all the way home where they got surprised by Marc's brother and his mate and Reiko was also there. But that made them wonder where aria and the kids where when four warriors came running from the pack house in wolf form running with full speed towards the border. They got worried and wanted to follow only to be stopped by Reiko and Marcs brother Marcus and his mate Avery.
At the border.
"Come on kids lets go and meet dad and mom okey." Said Aria.
"Okey" they chorused at the same time.
Then they heard the bushes rustling. Aria got a bad feeling and a feeling of dread in her gut, so she told the kids the mind links the alpha and ask for back up.
`alpha we are at the border with Aria, but something is wrong. She told us to tell you to send back up immediately` then the mind link broke.
`Serena. ` The alpha said when he felt the link break which could only mean one thing and he panicked so he mind-linked four of his best warriors to go to the border fast. He couldn't help feeling a feeling of dread take over him.
The warriors ran as fast as they could but what they saw made them see red. Aria was fighting of five rogues while hiding the kids behind her to protect them but then out of nowhere one more rogue showed up and attacked her and she pushed the kids out of the way. And when she had pushed the wolf away, she got distracted by hearing the children whimper in pain and got attacked. But strangely they wolf didn't hurt her it only held her down and keeping her from going to the kids. Then a wolf dug its claws deep into Serenas shoulder and she cried out in pain. Mira got mad at seeing this and was frustrated that she couldn't save her friend and sister. Then she too was attacked and unlike Serena the wolf who was grey as ash bit her in her shoulder and tore of some of her skin. Then when the wolves were going to give the kids the final blow the warriors showed up hungry for blood. They were parents themselves and the scene in front of them made them and their wolves furious and wanted blood for what they had done to the kids. Then they attacked the rogues and killed them while aria pulled the kids towards her chest so they couldn't see what happened. Serena and Mira then passed out. Aria panicked and when the warriors saw this they shifted and took out some clothes that was hidden amongst the trees. Mason and Jason who were twins carried the children while Jason and Jace who were also twins helped Aria who also was hurt to the pack hospital. When the pack doctor saw the kids, they immediately took them to the ER and put them down on a bed in the surgery room. They stopped the bleeding and then gave them a blood transfusion so they wouldn't die of blood loss from surgery.
