-Akira POV-
I spun a pencil between my fingers, looking down at the drawings in the notebook.
This wasn't working.
Sighing, I flipped over to another page and started drawing a hand. After a few minutes I looked at the sketch and shrugged, it was passable.
Propping my head on my palm I started thinking. I have not tried to overall the tattoos yet, so I didn't know what would happen, but that didn't really matter at the moment, what was life without risks?
An idea popped into my head and I started drawing. It would start at the side of my bicep, wrap around the bicep, and come down in a straight line to my wrist.
I would need to do this on both hands and it would hurt like hell, but that's fine.
I felt the weight leaning against my leg shift and I looked down, spotting the pitch-black giant cat that was busy sleeping. For a drawing, this thing acted like a real thing.
Absorbing the Jaguar back into my body, I sighed and extended my hands forward.
The burning started as the pain flared, but it was more manageable than when I did my first tattoo.
It didn't last as long, either.
It was over after a few seconds, and I was staring at the chains that wrapped around my biceps. Channeling cursed energy into them, I watched as they extended from my wrist and left my skin, dropping to the floor.
Grabbing the place where they were leaving my palm, I tugged, spinning one of them.
There didn't seem to be a problem with overlapping the tattoos, which was a plus.
Retracting the chains, I shoved my hands in my pockets.
Okay, now what?
The possibilities were endless.
I could make anything I wanted as long as I had space but what happened when I ran out?
I would need a trump card, and I didn't really want to carry a giant scroll around like that one character from Naruto to draw on.
I need something else.
Pursing my lips, I walk out of the room, heading to where Yaga was supposed to be, maybe he knew something.
___
"Domain expansion? What's that?"
I tilted my head to the side, watching Yaga like he just spewed some alien language and expected me to understand it.
"Domain expansion is the pinnacle of jujutsu sorcery. An advanced barrier technique that constructs the user's innate technique, improving the cursed technique of the one casting it and ensuring a guaranteed hit on the opponent no matter their defenses."
I blinked, Guaranteed hit? Was I getting Aimbot? I wanted Aimbot, what did I have to do to get some hacks around here?
"What does an innate technique have to do with the domain?"
Yanga put down the doll he was making, which I found weird, but who am I to judge?
"An innate technique is unique to each sorcerer, it's engraved in their bodies, or more specifically, a certain part of their brain. Meaning innate technique is a part of the innate domain that you extend from yourself into a domain expansion."
Ah, that made sense.
With my bullshit anime knowledge, I knew what he was talking about. The innate domain was like a mindscape that you could control to extend out of your body, and the "Territory" was a part of yourself which was why it boosted your technique since it didn't have to manifest it outside of it.
My lips thinned.
I didn't want to go into my mind, it wasn't safe there, like, at all.
But if that's what I had to do to get Aimbot? As a veteran 1.6 player, I had to do what I had to do.
"Thanks."
I turned around and walked off. He wasn't useful anymore, for now. I had things to do.
If a domain expansion was the peek of jujutsu sorcery, then I would have it. It didn't matter if it took weeks or months. I still had time.
But I needed a good sparring partner because this place failed to provide those in the starter packs.
An oversight on their part, to be honest.
And the ones you did get sucked.
