The team checked down the latter. After confirming no-one was at the base of the stairs, Cap and Brook slowly lowered Frank by his feet down the hole. Frank had an excellent view from where he was. To the right was a solid concrete wall the other side was about a 70 foot tunnel it appeared to lead to a large open space. From his position he could make out two guards. Neither seemed to be paying much attention to the tunnel and entrance. He also noted that about 40 feet down the tunnel was a smaller area that cut to the left only big enough for maybe one person at a time.
Frank shook his foot to let the others know to pull him up. He used hand signals to let the other two know what he saw. The trio decided to go down one at a time and make a break for the narrow tunnel. This should allow them to slip past the unattntive guards. It was the safest bet before the whole place turns into a shooting gallery.
Frank went first and made it to the small maintenance tunnel first. Good news no people. Bad news was there was a chain link door with a padlock and chain on it. Once the other two arrived Frank took a pair of wire cutters from Brook. He took his time to be as quiet as possible. They didn't want to bring heat before they had the element of surprise. After several long minutes they cut enough for the three of them to fit through. Frank was glad Duke wasn't around this time or he'd still be cutting.
As they moved through the shaft turned into an incline that took them over the main room they could see earlier.
