Austin looked at his mother with a twitching smile as no matter what he did, she kept asking about Andromeda, his wife. Her crimson eyes were burning with deep jealousy and possessiveness that Austin had never seen in her before. His mother wasn't like that in the past. When he was young, his mother was gentle and loving yet at the same time cold and strict, when she was running the company with his father, she showed a great leading character that made all the employees respect her and fear her at the same time.
But now, Austin felt like seeing another woman in front of him.
Was that the effect of days and years of being apart from each other? Or something else?
As this thought flashed in his mind, he remembered his father's family and immediately coldness flooded him, he was angry, much more when he remembered the scars on her wrists.
'They dare make my mother reach this point.' He thought as he clinched his hands under the table. Andromeda, who was sitting beside him, felt his rage and put her hand on his making him calm down, a little.
He looked at her and smiled, which warmed her heart as she felt his love for her through their connection. He intended to tell his mother about her, but not now, after resolving the situation here, he will.
So, he looked back at his mother with a gentle smile and said, "Don't worry mom, I would tell you everything after finishing what I came here for."
Just seeing her son's smile made Amanda's heart warm and beat crazily before she nodded at him.
"But what do you mean by finishing what you came here for?" She still asked as she felt confused by that.
Didn't he come here to see her? She wondered before some dark thoughts began flooding her mind like he came here to tell her that he was going to marry that blonde bitch beside him or that she was pregnant and wanted her to name the child.
'Absolutely not! I won't let that happen for HE IS MINE!' she roared inwardly while keeping a gentle smile on her face as she looked at both her son and the blonde bitch.
Andromeda could feel shivers running down her spine seeing her smile as she could see dark ominous aura coming out of her as if telling her that he is already DEAD!
Austin sweated a little as he could smell her possessiveness from miles.
'Damn, she is worse than my wives.' he thought before he faked a cough.
"Ahem, the reason I came here for was you, mom."
"Me!" A wide smile spread across her face as she heard that. 'So, he came for me after all!' Her body shuddered at such thought.
"Yes, I heard everything from Anna."
Amanda looked down as she remembered what happened to her since her husband died and her dear son left to study abroad. It was so hard and harsh on her. Her husband's family wanted to take the company that they even claimed that it was in his name and now that he died, she should give it to them by default, although legally, it should belong to her not them, considering she is his wife.
The company was the only thing that her husband left for her and her children. So, not in a million years would she let it go because they asked for it. Once she posed her rejection regarding the matter, things changed.
They began bothering her by degrading her reputation by spreading rumors about her like she slept with the manager of another company to sign a contract, or she embezzled the money of the company, or pumping defective products in the market and so on.
This was the first wave, but all of that failed for she was a very respected businesswoman in the business world as a strong and strict character. No one decided to believe those rumors except those who had some grudges against the company.
But they were small in number, so it didn't affect her much.
When they found that their plan failed, they opted for another plan which was by foisting people of their own into the company to rig its accounts so it would appear that she was embezzling money for her own use, and they went for the large contracts with big manufacturers and tried to temper with the terms, but Amanda wasn`t an easy woman, she was prepared for the whatever they tried to do. So, yes, she figured out their plan and foiled it and turned it against themselves by showing them as criminals who tried to rob the company, to the public, which worsened their reputation with the other big companies.
After all, her husband's family owned two companies which were growing well, but due to what they did, their profits plummeted. This made them so angry and wanted revenge. They wanted to turn her life into a nightmare.
First, they hired one of the company's new employees to put an aphrodisiac in her drink when she was having lunch in the cafeteria as she always ate there not in her office, they knew her habits in the company after all and what she liked to drink. They planned for this very well.
Once she drank her coffee, she felt her body heating up after a minute and her cheeks flushed making her unable to think properly. This was the right time to strike, so the employee, that damn family paid for, offered to help her which she refused, but he seemed to not accept a no from her and tried to take her out of the company to a car that was waiting near the building, but fortunately, at that time, her secretary saw her and immediately knew that there was something wrong with her and by the look on that employee who was supporting her body, she knew that her boss`s life might be in danger.
So, she immediately ran at them and stopped them before slapping the face of that employee so hard that his lips bled which made him angry, but she wasn't afraid at all and immediately called the security who came and caught him. They found a bottle of aphrodisiac with him which made him more suspicious. The police came and was taken to jail while Amanda was taken to the hospital. They found that the aphrodisiac that she took was so strong that would make any woman go in heat like animal who wanted to mate with any man. The plan was to make that employee fuck her along with the other guys in the car near the building and film the deed before spreading it on the internet to show the world and take her down entirely.
But thanks to the attentive secretary, the plan was foiled, and the day was saved. Once Amanda woke up and regained her sanity, she knew who did this to her, which made her so angry and disappointed. She was in a war not knowing when it would end, her husband's family were so ruthless with their plans and deeds making her so tired physically and mentally.
They kept doing all sort of things pushing her back to the edge more and more that her mental state became instable that she was imagining someone stalking her to capture her and do all sort of things like raping, torturing, blackmailing, etc. she was literally going crazy which made her daughter and her secretary so worried about her. They wanted to take to her a psychologist, but she utterly refused.
She could end all of that by giving them the company but despite her deteriorated mental state, she kept her resolve of not giving them the company.
Days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months and months to years until she reached the breaking point where she tried to commit suicide in the bathroom by cutting her veins, but fortunately, her maids where there along with her daughter and managed to save her.
Amanda wanted someone to support her, stand beside her, be her shoulder to lean on, she wanted a man and that led her to think of her son, the only man she knew beside her husband. The more she thought about him, the more she wanted him and desired him, she wanted him to come back to the point she put photos of her son in every place in her bedroom so she could feel safe and supported by looking at him, she even looked at her phone every night imagining that he would call her and hear his voice, she wanted to call him and tell him to come back, that she needed him but she couldn't as she thought that he would hate her for that. She was afraid.
This led her to the Amanda of today, the woman that Austin kissed in her office an hour ago, the woman who looked at him with such possessiveness that surpassed his wives.
All of that because of a family's greed, they wanted to take what wasn't their own, they wanted to take the legacy that Austin's father left for his wife and kids.
Thinking about all of that, Amanda shuddered and trembled in her seat, she hugged her body tightly feeling so cold from…fear. Just remembering what she had been through made her want to die right now. Austin, who saw this, immediately stood up and walked around the table to reach his mother and hug her, giving her warmness that she desired.
Once she felt her son's strong arms wrapped around her body, she calmed down and relaxed her body against his, she turned around and hugged him tightly while burying her face into his chest, sniffing his smell that worked like sedative.
"Please don't leave me, I need you." She said with a voice that he didn't imagine he would hear a voice that was filled with fear, depression and sadness.
At that moment, Austin felt something deep inside him urging him to destroy everything and kill those who did that to what belonged to him. His eyes glowed and his pupils turned to a four-pointed star filled with deep rage and indescribable hatred. He wanted to tear, burn, kill and destroy those who did this to his mother.
'I won`t let anyone of them alive, I will burn their generation!' he said inwardly with a deep raging voice that promised…death!
