Austin arranged the papers on the desk before he began his work. He looked at the information in the papers that explained about the purpose of the serum and Its effects, how it will heal the body and how it will get ride of the cancer in the first two stages, but it didn't explain how it will get ride of it in the third and fourth stages which are the deadliest and means game over for the patient.
'So that's why he told me to adjust it. They didn't know how it make it in a way so that the damaged parts could be brought back to its original status. After all, a cancer in its third and fourth stages is very dangerous, it means that it has spread to a different part of the body with a growing size according to the staging system.'
We use the TNM Staging System to describe the stages of the cancer.
The TNM staging system stands for Tumor, Nodes, Metastasis.
The T describes the size of the tumour.
The N describes whether there are any cancer cells in the Lymph nodes.
The M describes if the cancer has spread to a different part of the body.
This system uses letter and numbers to describe the cancer as follows:
T refers to the size of the cancer and how far it has spread to the nearby tissues. It can be 1, 2, 3, or 4 with 1 being small and 4 being large.
N refers to whether the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes. It can be between 0 and 3. 0 means that there are no lymph nodes containing cancer cells. And 3 means that there are lots of lymph nodes containing cancer cells.
M refers to whether the cancer has spread to a different part of the body. It can be 0 or 1. With M0 means that the cancer hasn't spread and M1 means the opposite.
This is the system that is used to stage the cancer, and if according to the size, then this means that the size of the cancer is large when the stage is 4 and need different treatment methods.
If in the first stage, we could use the common treatment method through removing the part that was damaged by the cancer to prevent it from spreading.
But as we could see, many people die every day from cancer and it was discovered in the later stages which is much more difficult to deal with with the other treatment methods that target the whole body. In some cases, these treatment methods affect the body negatively.
But with this serum we could do this without casing any negative effects to the body. Healing it completely and bring it back to its previous vigor.
But the problem is—
"The formula is a complete mess, especially the those number in the numerator. The materials used are so chemical that it may leave very dangerous effects rather than curing the body and getting ride of the cancer. It may even cause permanent effect on the body. For example, an inflation in the pancreas, liver dysfunction and many more."

Austin began muttering while looking at the paper in his hand while writing something down on an empty paper.
His focus was on what he was writing, his brain as working an an incredible speed while thinking of how to adjust the formula and make it more effective and efficient. His goal was to the create the serum what could save the lives of those people who are suffering from such a damned disease like Cancer, the world till now was suffering from it. Trying to find many effective and efficient treatments, but the technology and the resources are not in abundance yet.
Due to the increased population, the resources are exhausted continuously and at some point in the future, hunger and disease will spread, but not only in one place but to the whole world.
But thanks to the merging worlds, this problem was solved. Many different and new resources appeared besides doubling the existing ones. This solved a lot of problems.
With this we could create medicines for those chronical diseases. (And that's.....my wish.)
We could save lives...really.

In another place in Kyoto. Inside an ancient temple.
You could see many different kinds of creatures with many different appearances that could only be seen in legends.
These were the Yokais. The race that govern Kyoto and whole Japan as well, except for one city that another race governs at the moment.
In the meeting room in the temple, two figures could be seen sitting opposite to each other. One was a woman with yellow golden hair tied in a very elegant loose ponytail that reached down to her legs that ends in a spiral with taut bandages to keep it in place.
She wears a traditional shrine maiden attire, and over that she wore a white coat held closed by a red ribbon and a golden crown.
Her body was very voluptuous and enchanting, arousing your desire easily and capture your heart like a professional hunter.
This woman was Yasaka, the leader of the West Yokai Faction and the one who controls the Lay Lines of Kyoto.
In front of her was another woman, she was beautiful with long black hair tied in two twin tails giving her childish touch, her eyes were pinkish red (I like that color on her, it suits her well in my opinion).
She has a child like body (160cm) albeit with large breasts and alluring curves. She was wearing an elegant and noble attire while having a serious expression on her face. This woman or girl is Serafall Leviathan, one of the four great devil kings of the underworld.
"Nice to meet you, Serafall Leviathan." Yasaka said with an elegant and graceful voice fitting for a leader.
After all, this meeting was official.
"Pleasure, Lady Yasaka." Serafall replied in the same manner fitting for her position as one of the four devil kings.
A brief silence invaded the place afterwards before Yasaka continued.
"Then, what is your purpose for this visit?"
"I came her on behalf of the four devil kings of the underworld. We want to make a deal with the West Yokai Faction to buy a certain amount of the Blue Herb that could only grow in your lands."
"A deal?"
Serafall nodded. "Yes, due to some unknown reason, the underworld was invaded by some kind of disease that made the infected turn to ice within a week. We tried many things to solve this issue but we couldn't until by chance we discovered that the Blue Herb that grows in your territory is capable of reversing the effects of the disease."
Yasaka nodded at her words as she understood how critical the situation was in the underworld.
If her home was invaded by some kind of unknown diseases, she would do the same like Serafall. So she understood Serafall's predicament. But there is no free lunch in this world.
Although the West Yokai Faction and Devil faction had no conflicts at the moment, but that doesn't mean that they could take what they want without nothing in return.
And this is a deal, both parties should have something of equal value to exchange.
And her Blue Herb's value is so great to the underworld at the moment, so should Serafall offer something of equal value to the West Yokai Faction.
"I understand your situation, but what is in it for me? You know that I can't give you my precious Blue Herbs for free like that, right?" Yasaka had a small smile on her face while saying that.
'Tsk, what a cunning woman! She knows how much we need that herb and she used this situation to demand something of equal value from us. But what can we offer to her as an exchange? Do we have something like that? Something of a value equal to a whole race extinction?'
Serafall worked her brain to the limit to think of what she may offer as an exchange.
Yasaka doesn't need money, that was what that sexy fox said indirectly. She wanted to rob the devils and she knew that they don't have what could be of equal value to the Blue Herb that could grow in abundance in her own territory.
The devil race wanted a huge amount that couldn't be bought from your normal shop or market. They want an amount enough for an entire race and only the West Yokai Faction could provide them with it.
'Fufufu, how naive for you to request a deal with my faction without preparing. You know that money is endless to my faction and yet you came without preparing something in exchange. Truly unfortunate for you.' Yasaka's eyes narrowed and the pupils in her eyes turned to two slits staring intensely at the black haired Serafall sitting in front of her making her shudder unconsciously.
Serafall was sweating while thinking of what she could do, although it's not her first time to make a deal with someone before, but she didn't expect that the situation would turn out like that. Yasaka doesn't need money as an exchange, then what does she need?
And as if reading her thoughts, Yasaka parted her delicious, glossy, and erotic lips "You know what I truly want, Serafall Leviathan. After all, that's only what you have for me and the only thing you have of equal value."
Her smile widened and her gaze became sharper like two sharp swords ready to cut anything.
Hearing this, Serafall didn't take time to figure out what she meant because she knew what Yasaka wanted by now.
