Chapter 1 - "Where Light Meets Darkness: The Moral Pathway"

~Courage is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it, and warriors embody this truth.

******************************************************************************************************

In a world unknown.....

"Hmm... World No. 10465..... FUCK THIS SHIT!!! WHY THE FELL DID I TELEPORT HERE!? THIS IS LITERALLY THE SMALLEST WORLD, IT CAN'T EVEN BE COMPARED TO THE 'AZURE SEA'S' SMALLEST REALM'S SMALLEST CITY!! ARGHHHHH!!!"

In the sky, above the clouds, a young man clothed in rags, worse than a beggar's, struggled to hide his EXTREMELY handsome and beautiful face. With crimson eyes, golden-blond hair, a chiseled face, with a pale skin, he looked nearly like a lifeless corpse, except for the faint glow of his translucent body—a soul rather than a living being.

Sighing deeply, he murmured, "Let's start the mission 'search for diamonds even in the smallest mine.'"

--------------------

"Shall I destroy this world too? ....YEP....., let's destroy this FUCKING world too!!! I mean, it's been a minute...and the only thing I found is this poop faced man kissing a shit faced girll!....STOP!JUST STOP! CAN'T YOU SEE THE 'POP-UP' BETWEEN HER LEGS?!!"

If these words could cause someone to vomit blood, his next ones would surely grant them a merciful release.

"sigh...I've searched 80% of this world, and, as always... disappointment! Why can't I find a single soul with a strong mind, dope personality, and... coolness, badassery, heroism, cunning, scheming, calmness, and... Well, you get the picture

.....

He paused, frustration evident in his voice.

Sigh... okay, I admit it's a bit choosey, but still, I've searched countless people, and I can't even find someone remotely close to these criteria... Huhh... Patience, Devilster, patience... You can find them... just try, okay? Deep breath, 1... 2... 3... 4... Huff... hmmm... DARN IT! I CAN'T! I REALLY FUCKING CAN'T!!!... I'M CERTAIN NOW. LET'S DESTRO-- Hmm?... What's with this overwhelming bloodlust? Is there a war going on? Well, let's try my luck with that too."

"lala~la~lalala~la"

--------------------

Amidst a gruesome battlefield, where screams and bloodshed echoed,

"HUFF....!  HUFF...!  t-this th-this fucking maniac-... Ughhh!"

"S-SAIMO!! - SAIMMO!! ... YOU FUCKING IDIOT OF A FRIEND, AT LEAST DIE WITH ME! I... I don't want to face him alone—khwaak!"

"Is this how you intend to defeat me? Huh? I haven't even swung my spear, let alone thrust it!"

"And you! Sir, please, not on this sacred battlefield... You should at least maintain some dignity as a soldier... *pee splatters* ...you, just DIE!!"

In the midst of the carnage, a man bore scars crisscrossing his face and body. His armor was tattered, blood-soaked, and his spear teetered on the brink of shattering. Even his hair had been torn from his head.

But did fear reflect in his eyes? Did he look unappealing? NO! If anyone saw him at that moment, they would only see his fierce, yellow eyes gleaming behind the bloodstains, shining like a predator locking eyes on its prey. And that small, amicable, heroic smile...

As he swung his spear, it was a spectacle, beautiful to the untrained eye, and To a battle-hardened veteran, , something akin to witnessing a deity on the battlefield—the God of War.

"Aghhh, you... motherfu—cough... cough..."

"Huff... So, this was the last one, huh?"

Turning around, he shouted,"THE LAST ONE TO FINISH WILL HAVE TO CLEAN ALL THE TOILETS!!! AND THE FIRST ONE WILL BE REWARDED AND HONORED WITH... JOKES FROM ME ALL NIGHT!!"

These words sent shivers down the soldiers with blue armbands.

"Commander! Why must you be so ruthless?"

"Uahhh!"

"Dude, you should be thankful; you're the weakest of us all!"

"Austi! Austi! Don't faint! Don't faint!"

"He's just acting, idiots. He's the strongest among us; why wouldn't he pretend to faint? Sob... Sob..."

"These melodramatic worms... Sigh...what's wrong with my jokes man"

Just as the man was about to assist his fellow soldiers, a child rushed over and embraced him tightly. Due to the child's height, the embrace only reached the man's waist.

"Huh? Ruff? Why did you come to the battlefield? Didn't I tell you not to come here? Go, head back to the army camp and hide. Wait, I'll guide you—Hmm... Why are you crying?"

Seeing the child's tears, the man squatted down and patted his back, trying to comfort him. If the enemy soldiers, who had met their end at his hands, witnessed this moment, they would undoubtedly deem him an imposter. His gentle demeanor, akin to a caring father consoling his son, contrasted starkly with his reputation as the "GOD OF THE BATTLEFIELD."

"What's wrong? Tell me—"

before he could finish Ruff spoke " I-I  am s-s-sorry brother K-Karna"

*Stab*

The child swiftly drew a sharp dagger hidden in his sleeve and plunged it into Karna's neck, the very man he had been hugging just moments ago.

"Uff...

...R-Ruff!? W-Why? Th-this..."

The child broke the embrace, took a few trembling steps back, and dropped the dagger to the ground, his hands shaking, and his pants soaked with pee.

"T-THey T-them.... C-call M-me say-say....  M-m-mother.... T-they W-will bring HER....NO!!"

Karna, clutching his bleeding neck, attempted to rise. In that moment, he spotted an arrow hurtling toward Ruff.

Before Ruff could comprehend what was happening, he found himself enveloped in a warm embrace.

*Pierce*

Fresh blood splattered onto the ground, but this time, it was not Ruff's. As he raised his head, he saw Karna hugging him, wearing his ever-present heroic smile. Yes, Karna had saved him, even though he had faced a monumental dilemma.

he had two choices: save himself or shield the child with his own body—the same child who had tried to end his life, the same child he had once rescued from the slave market, the same child who had betrayed him for a phantom mother.

In his dilemma, he chose the latter.

*Thud*

Karna collapsed to his knees, blood oozing from his mouth, his life hanging by a thread.
