Mindy sat beside her mother, her expression a mixture of empathy and determination. She had listened quietly as Grace recounted the history of rivalry and tension with Olivia, understanding the depth of her mother's emotions.
"Mom," Mindy began softly, her voice filled with compassion, "I get it. I really do. But you're worrying over nothing. Dad chose you. Despite everything, he chose you over Aunt Olivia, even when Grandma was against it."
Grace looked at Mindy, her eyes reflecting a mixture of relief and lingering doubt. "But Mindy, what if Olivia manages to pull him away? What if she makes him doubt our relationship?"
Mindy shook her head gently, her hand reaching out to grasp Grace's trembling fingers. "Mom, Dad loves you. He's proven that over and over again," Mindy insisted earnestly. "He went against Grandma just to be with you. Doesn't that tell you something? He's committed to you, to our family. You have to trust him."
