When morning arrives, Huiyin rubbed her eyes and got up. The sun is so bright; she thought. As she got up, she looked at Zixin, who was still asleep. She tried to wake him up several times. But it was no use. As she checked her phone, it was out of battery. How long was I here? She checked the clock on the wall, but she remembered it stopped working a while back.
Moments later, Zixin opened up his eyes and noticed someone in the room. Who was it? He thought for a moment, but he couldn't remember anything from last night. When he got up, he got a terrible headache.
"You're awake, CEO Lin. How are you feeling?" Huiyin came in and brought a cup of water.
"Where am I?"
"You're in my boss's room. But, don't worry. He's not using this room anymore. You were drunk last night, and you didn't let me go, so I had to bring you here." Huiyin honestly explained the situation.
"You must be joking." He gulped all the water and said, "Why didn't you bring me back? You let me sleep in this dirty place?" He coughed because of the dust was irritating his throat. Huiyin smiled and shook her head in disbelief.
"A simple thank you would be nice." She said that under her breath and was feeling disappointed. "Anyway, do you remember last night? About what you did? If you remembered, you wouldn't say all of this."
"I don't remember, and I don't even know you. If you did anything to me last night, I will never forgive you. You're an employee, right? Just wait." He grabbed his stuff and left the room to saying a word of thank you. As he left the nightclub, he couldn't get her out of his mind. He knew Ruining was dead, but that girl back there reminded him of her. She's not Ruining, he thought about that over and over.
As he called Chris, it surprised Chris that Zixin didn't let that girl drive him back. Ten minutes later, Chris came and picked him up.
"I thought the nice girl will drop you off." He said that as Zixin gave him a cold stare.
"Don't mention her in front of me. Just drive." Zixin ordered Chris, and he obeyed immediately. Moments later, Chris mentioned something that made Zixin surprised.
"CEO Lin, to be honest with you, that girl had a similar resemblance to Ruining."
"I told you to stop mention her! Don't bring up Ruining to this conversation!" Zixin was on edge whenever someone talked about Ruining. He didn't want to remember the devastation again. Huiyin, he thought. "I'll deal with you later."
As Zixin went back home, he took a quick shower and changed his clothes. Chris was waiting outside since they'll have a meeting soon at the company. After he finished getting all of his stuff ready, he went to the living room and held the picture frame of his deceased wife. His heart was still aching, and he swore he will never fall in love with another woman. He will only be loyal to his wife.
"Ruining, I will only love you. No one can ever replace you. I love you only. I will find out about the truth, eventually. I will avenge your death. Please watch over me, my love."

Huiyin was feeling pissed ever since the morning. Thankfully, her boss hadn't arrived yet. She cleaned up herself, then went to her morning job. It was another mundane work day. As usual, she set up stuff for the upcoming conference, but this time, another business company will host. She was relieved that she won't be seeing that man again.
Mina ran up to Huiyin in order to greet her but then she smelled her. "What's that smell? Did you drink last night?" Huiyin looked at her friend and colleague. "Don't mention it. Someone got drunk and you know... stuff happened." Mina nodded and comforted her friend, "You had it hard, my friend. Lunch time, my treat."
"Anything I want?" Huiyin smiled.
"Anything you want. As long as it's not too expensive." Mina looked at her friend as they laughed.
When lunch time came, Huiyin and Mina enjoyed their time at a popular cafe across the street. Just as Huiyin thought she could avoid that man, it was just not possible. Inside the cafe, there was a flat screen TV showing the most popular man in the business world. Huiyin muttered, "Why can't they show someone else and why Lin Zixin... of all people?" She sipped on her latte as escape from reality.
Mina focused on the TV, and Huiyin shook her head in disappointment. "What do they see in him?" She didn't understand at all. He was a jerk to her. It pissed her off. She told herself to calm down and relax.
"Huiyin, when can we ever reach his level?" Mina looked mesmerized by Lin Zixin's beauty and charisma. Huiyin looked at Mina and said, "Probably never." Mina nodded in agreement. "You're right. Look at us, being broke, and not popular." Huiyin and Mina both finished their lunch and headed back to work. Just as they were about to leave, there were three men by the entrance. All wearing black and sunglasses.
"Who're they?" Mina asked while hiding behind Huiyin.
"Just ignore them. Let's go." But two of the men blocked their way.
"I'm sorry, Miss. You need to come with us." Huiyin was confused and asked, "Why? Did I do anything wrong?"
"Miss. Our CEO is asking for you. It will be good for both of us if we're on time." The man said as he waited for her reply.
"Which CEO you're talking about?" She replied as she looked at her phone, "I need to go now. Let him call me later." The man stopped her again and Huiyin was feeling irritated.
"CEO Lin of the Diamond Corporation. You should know him."
"Him? Why did he want to see me?" Huiyin asked them, but the man shrugged, "We only do the things he asked. Don't ask why."
Huiyin had no choice but to follow them. She didn't know what she saw in him that attracted her. But after this, she made a choice to never fall in love with this man who is a devil on the inside.
