"Hooo I see you brought a lot with you this time, Luck."
Luck walked into Halt's shop with a huge mountaineering backpack on his back and two full bags in each hand.
"Hello Halt, Horace, and ma'am."
"What have you brought?" Horace was looking curiously at Luck and the bags in his hands.
"hehe, I've got my hands full with the stuff I promised you as well as the stuff I want to sell on my own."
Luck started to take out one by one the things he had brought to sell on his own.
"Disposable bags of salt, sugar, 350 ml coke, fanta and soda, bags of coffee, snacks..."
The trio looked at the things Luck was pulling out and their mouths dropped open in astonishment.
With a fiery look in her eyes, Halt's secretary said, "Luck, how about you give these to us to sell? You don't have to bother, we'll take care of everything."
"Luck, don't listen to him, if you're going to give all this stuff to someone to sell, it should be me! It's all foodstuff!"
If Halt's secretary, his wife, and Horace could kill someone just by looking at them, there would be bloodshed.
"You don't want to sell the things I brought, you want to try them, right?"
"No, of course not." The three of them spoke at the same time.
As if I would believe you.
"I'll make my sale," Luck said with determination.
***
Luck took a deep breath as he opened his stall in the town's marketplace.
"Come, brother, sister, come!"
"Come to flavors you've never known!!!"
"Sugar costs 1 silver a pack! Salt costs 50 copper a pack! Come!!!"
Luck's shouts seemed to attract some people's attention.
"Did you say salt is 50 coppers a pack?"
Luck nodded like a chicken tore the small salt packet and poured the salt into his hand.
"Yes, that's how much salt there is in one packet, poor in mana, but the taste is first class, I assure you!"
The man, interested in the salt in Luck's hand, picked up some salt with his finger and put his finger to his mouth.
"Not bad, 50 coppers a pack, right? I want 10 packs."
Luck's face lit up.
"Do you want to try sugar? How about cake? How about Coke?"
As Luck introduced the goods on his stall one by one, the man remained confused by the variety of goods in front of him.
"Yeah? I guess."
Luck knew that the first customer was very important and that his reputation would grow by word of mouth if he made a good first impression.
He began to open one of everything and offer it to his first customer to try.
"Here, here, look, it's sugar!" Crystal white sugar grains fell into his hand.
"Is this white stuff sugar? Isn't sugar brown?
"No no no no, don't confuse brown sugar with this sugar, this is first-class sugar!"
Tasting the sugar, the man nodded in agreement.
"It tastes good, even if it's weak on the mana."
"Try this," Luck shoved a piece of cake into the man's mouth.
"oh moy god." The man was overwhelmed by the flavor of the cake.
He handed him a glass with some Coke in it.
"Drink this, it's easy to eat!"
Tears of happiness began to flow from the man's eyes as he was enraptured by one incredible taste after another.
"I must be blessed..."
The man's happiness and enjoyment were noticed by the surrounding crowd.
"Hey, is that guy crying because of what he ate?"
"It must taste awful if he's crying, right?"
"I don't think so, look at the look on his face, he's trying hard not to eat more of what's in front of him."
"I want to try it too."
"Me too..."
Noticing the crowd around his stall getting curious, Luck knew his opportunity had arrived. If he could capture the crowd now, later sales would be a breeze.
"Come on people, today I'll let you try all my goods for free!"
Luck took out small cardboard shot glasses for the drinks and cut the food into bite-sized pieces.
His shout echoed through the square like a sound bomb had been dropped.
"Is it free?"
"I want that black drink!"
"Can I have one of those cakes?"
...
Greeting the crowd gathered around his stall with a big smile, Luck started giving everyone what they wanted in turn.
"Everyone just take one, don't push!"
As the food and drinks were quickly sold out, people began to talk, surprised and satisfied with what they were eating and drinking.
"I've never eaten anything like this!"
"What was that drink, it was like bubbles popping in my mouth!"
"What he called crackers was a harmony of spices and salt!"
With everything but the bag of coffee gone, Luck knew he had achieved his goal when he saw people talking happily around his stall and looking greedily at his empty stall for more food and drink.
He had impressed his first customers, and from now on he didn't need to promote his wares, so many people around him would do it for him.
"Hey stall owner, do you have any more of that drink?" a red-haired woman asked curiously.
Luck gestured to the empty stall and said, "Sorry ma'am, there's nothing left except coffee."
"What are those things?" the woman pointed her finger at the coffee bags.
"Coffee... but we need hot water for that."
Luck spread his hands helplessly "But unfortunately I don't have hot water so I can't serve coffee."
"Hot water is not a problem." A ball of flame appeared in the palm of the red-haired woman's hand.
"Oh okay..."
After a while, the fragrant smell of coffee mixed with hot water began to spread around.
"What is that smell?"
"This coffee..."
"Oh my God, does this stall owner even have coffee?"
"I want a cup!"
"Me too!"
Soon the crowd was lining up for coffee again in front of the stall.
"Oh my God, this coffee is so good!"
"This coffee has sugar!"
"This coffee has milk!"
"This coffee has Hazelnut!"
"How many kinds of coffee are there!"
"I've never had the chance to drink coffee before, it's so nice!"
Luck's smile widened as he saw the bags of coffee being quickly sold out.
Turning to the red-haired wizard who was boiling water with his magic, he said, "Thank you so much, I couldn't have introduced my coffee without you."
"I didn't make it for you. I couldn't be here in time to try most of the things on your counter, and when I arrived there was only coffee left."
"Oh okay... Did you like the coffee?"
"Uh-huh, it was good, especially the one with milk, but the cup was too small."
"After all, I served it as a sampler, if you want to drink more you can buy it later."
"Uh-huh, first I'll try this black drink called Coke, everyone seems to like it."
Luck looked left and right.
"Come closer, let me give you a tip about cola."
The red-haired woman was curious. She carefully approached Luck.
"If you can, drink it cold, it tastes much better."
The red-haired woman nodded as if she had received a big secret.
"Cold, I understand."
