Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Egg

A commanding voice coached throughout the empty Hall. A man sat in a golden throne

Covered with blood. Merely witnessing the throne he sat on was an honour and a curse to many.

"Do you know when a god becomes a man and a man becomes a god? Ask the king to the man standing opposite to him.

"I was your sword,

I was your shield,

I fought your battles,

A teacher to some,

A hero to many,

A butchers of your enemy,

The the angel,

The Guardian,

The inquisitor,

never did I ask any thing beside fighting for you,So father I ask you one more time,

Who am I?"

A king then stood up picking a sword.

Cold as ice his expression remains the same even if all that he have was reduced to nothing.

"I don't know."

The king replyed.

Arthur suddenly woke up puzzled by his weird dream. He suddenly realized he could not see anything everything seems pitch black. Panicking, Arthur reached out and touched something thin and warm. He didn't have time to think and started hitting it. However, his strength felt weaker than usual.

After many tries, he managed to break through, and the liquid rushed out. Fresh air came in, and he finally breathed freely.

He quickly made the hole bigger and escaped.

Outside, he was surprised to see a three moons. Looking down, he realized he had hatched from a black egg. This was all so strange he couldn't comprehend what's happening.

He examined his hands and found they had changed into baby-sized, brown, and marked with black lines. He had sharp claws on his fingers and strange bumps on his forehead, perhaps horns. He even had a tail.

"Am I some kind of monster?" he wondered.

He checked his lower body and was relieved that he was still male. If that had changed, things would be even more confusing.

Trying to make sense of it all, Arthur remembered his previous life. He used to lead a normal life, working hard to pay off his debt and enjoying hobbies like gaming and reading novels.

As he pondered his past, he sighed and looked around.

Thousands of eggs of different sizes and colors were scattered on the beach, as if waiting to hatch. Some were lucky, close to the warm part of the beach, while others seemed lifeless.

Arthur realized that this place was a mix of luck and brutality, where only the fittest survived. He watched as waves washed more eggs onto the beach, and some collided and broke before they even had a chance to hatch.

This whole situation left Arthur both amazed and puzzled. He was also hungry, which was his immediate concern.

Suddenly, Arthur heard the sound of clanking armour and the distant rumble of hooves. He squinted toward the horizon and saw a procession of knights approaching, their armour was covered in the strange light of the purple moon.

The knights were led by a large demon, and they were headed straight for the beach. As they drew near, they dismounted their demonic rides and began inspecting the eggs scattered across the sands.

Arthur watched in astonishment as they carefully selected certain eggs, marked them with intricate symbols, and loaded them onto a cart. It became evident that these knights were part of some ancient order like the ones Arthur use to read as he saw the marking of there armor, and they seemed to be collecting the eggs.

His hunger was finally gone by consuming the eggshell. It was weird but his instinct told him it was normal, However, just as he began to feel some relief, a sudden and unexplainable memory flooded his mind, leaving him stunned.

Arthur recalled the sudden memory that had surged into his mind as he devoured the eggshell. He now knew his true identity – he was a demon.

His true name was

******** Vexthorn ********** Quelshar *********** ********* Zythish ********* **********

This revelation was a lot to process. When Arthur first found himself in this strange state, he hadn't even considered the possibility of being a demon. While it was frustrating to realize that he was not a human,

"fck, is this some kind of mistake?"

Arthur regretted it internally.

"I didn't kill anyone before and I didn't do anything remotely bad if it didn't earn me a place in heaven I should at less reincarnate right? ,But becoming a little devil? "

He felt helpless, as there was no reversing this transformation. His new form was now a part of his reality, and he had to adapt to it.

As he tries to find a reason for all of this

His thoughts drifted to the many demons hatching on the beach. They varied in appearance, with different forms and properties. Some were small and impish, while others were larger and more imposing.

Arthur couldn't help but feel a growing sense of curiosity about the world he is in.

The knights were now revealing a darker side. Their actions were not driven by benevolence but by a desire to gather specific demon eggs. The criteria for selecting these eggs remained a mystery to Arthur, but he suspected it had something to do with the demons' potential power and unique properties.

The beach was a mix of chaos and cruelty, where only the fittest demons survived.

As the time went on the knight continued, Arthur noticed that some of the demon eggs had been marked and tagged with symbols. These were clearly the chosen ones, picked using a certain criteria the ones that didn't fit well are thrown away.

knowledge was power, Arthur believed he had decided to learn all he could. Only then could he make informed decisions.

The moon's was still high in the sky, and the beach was swarming with activity. As more and more demons hatched, the knights continued to collect their chosen one's hatch or not hatch,

Arthur's thoughts returned to the unusual hunger he had experienced earlier. The eggshell he had consumed had temporarily sated his appetite,

Arthur's hunger returned, and he found himself craving for another eggshell, not only to fill his appetite but also to investigate if he could get the memories and knowledge that came with it. However, he couldn't just consume any eggshells without consequences because he didn't know its effect. He had to be selective.
