"I have successfully retrieved the main statue that you have requested of me". I said to me holographic projection that was on display of the older client that hired me.
"Good my master will be pleased at your success. I will meet you at your headquarters and you will receive yourself a bonus because you finished it so quickly."
"All right then I will meet you there as soon as I land". I said as I deactivated the communicator that was at the front of my ship.
As I return to my homeworld I could see the lights of the cities from the outside area of the world and there was a massive blockade of large battleships, destroyers, and fighters in between me and my destination.
My communication device started to blink meaning that I was receiving a communication. I then clicked the button on it to activate it and a holographic projection of a large and bulky werewolf showed up on it.
"Give us a clearance code or you will not be allowed to pass". He said if he snarled at me.
"BH-268" I said in response to his question.
"Clearance code accepted. Welcome home The Completer". He said to me just before the blockade of fighters moved allowing me to pass.
I navigated my ship through the fleet even though I truly hated that title. I understand that I have not failed any specific Mission no matter how crazy the request; but I hate that name and how it stuck to me just because a member of The House of Belyert spoke of me in such a manner.
I made my way through the blockade and landed my ship in my dock of the spaceport without any hassle.
When I left my ship I used a transport to quickly and get to the side of town that had the main branch of The Black Pedal.
As I walked into The Black Pedal Marcus tried to throw a glass at me but this time instead of dodging it I caught it with my left hand and then placed it on the table that was directly in front of me.
"Come on Marcus I honestly thought you would have moved on from trying to attack me every time that I enter here". I told him as I walked by him.
I noticed that there was only one individual in the bar area and he was clearly not a normal customer here due to the fanciness of his clothes and the fact that he wore a lab coat told me that he must be here for some unique reason.
Even though I knew he was glancing at me I chose to completely ignore him and focus my attention towards Marcus.
"Oh come on I have to keep you on edge. If you ever fail to dodge it or catch it then you have become super slow and you are no longer worthy of calling yourself a bounty hunter if something so simple can defeat you."
"All right I will be at my office if any new clients come in". I said to him.
"How did your last mission go?"
"It was quite a simple mission; but I had to run into a very stubborn female that made the mission a little bit of a fuss to complete. Trust me you would not believe the crazy things that happened on that mission". I said as I wave my hand at him and walked towards the elevator.
As I made my way to the elevator I noticed that the bar area was closed for the night; but I was able to hear a lot of noise in the casino and gambling level of the building which meant that he was still getting good business on this night.
When I got out of the elevator the man who offered me the mission was waiting for me outside of my office.
I opened the door to my office and he followed me inside.
As soon as I made it to the other side of my desk I gave him the statue that I was requested to retrieve.
"My master will be pleased at your success; and as a bonus he has offered you the right to use an experimental form of Paradisus. It is said that this form is much more powerful and accurate than the blue kind that we usually consume".
After he spoke to me he placed a vile on the table that contained a black liquid.
"You can send my compliments to your master. I am always available for hire if they are looking for my services". I said to him as I grabbed the vile that contained the black liquid.
"I will do that. The payment that we owe you will be transferred to your account within the next daily rotation". He said is he tipped his hat to me and then walked away.
As soon as he had left me alone in the room I turned around and opened the box that was located in the wall because that is where any males or requests or sent if they were not coming to me in person.
I saw a total of three pieces of mail that were address to me.
The first thing was a request for me to join the military and that they could use my services to help advance our empire in this war.
The undead that serve as soldiers and the werewolves that served as officers must not be enough to continue this war because I am always getting requests like that one when I check my mail almost on a weekly basis.
I tore it up and threw it in the trash because I liked my freedom, and I would prefer not to have to answer to anyone other than the person that hired me.
The second item that was in my mail was a magazine about the different pawn shops that were selling a variety of different weapons and gear that might be of assistance to any one of my profession.
I put this one on my table because I usually check to see the latest models of stealth tech or what kind of blasters were popular for use in this current month.
The final item was a communicator which meant that it was most likely a mission request.
I put the communicator down on my desk and closed the box and activated the communicator.
As soon as I did I saw a projection that was made out of green energy. This projection was clearly a pure-blooded vampire scientist.
"Hello there; I am here to request your services in the destruction of a human Paradisus refinery that is on Sareet. Also before you say no there will be a considerable bonus increase in your pay if you kill the head scientists that run the facility.
If you accept the terms of this agreement I will be waiting for you in the bar area of the building that you were located in".
Then the projection completely shut off and it started to blink until it electrically shocked me.
I noticed that it was totally destroyed now as if they did not want anyone to find out what they were doing.
The next thing that I did was head back down to the bar so that I could meet with that scientist that I originally saw because he must have been the person who originally brought the request for the mission here.
Whenever I made it down to the bar area I noticed that he was still sitting there sipping on a glass of wine.
"Are you the person who brought this to my office?" I asked him as I showed him the destroyed projector.
He put his left hand up in front of me as he finished drinking the glass of wine with his right hand. After that he put the glass down and started to speak to me.
"Yes I am the one who brought it here. I would take it that you have accepted the terms of this job or you would not have come down there to ask me such a question".
"Yes I do accept; but are there any other conditions that I need to meet other than destroying the facility and possibly killing the staff that run the place?".
"Come on take a sip of this; working with you is going to be very boring if you were a serious as the rumors say you are when it comes to work". He said to me as he filled a second glass and slid it across the table at me.
I stopped it moving and did not pick it up.
"Drinks are for after the mission. I must go into this Mission with a very clear mind".
"No there are no other conditions then Mr. Sirius". He said to me as he stood up grabbed the bottle of wine and walked out of the bar.
"I need to look up someone for me while I am on this mission Marcus". I said to him as I handed him the glass that I did not drink from.
"Who is it exactly that you need me to get information on?"
"I do not know her name but I can tell you what type of vampire she is if that will help narrow down your search".
Marcus then went to his office area which was behind the bar and locked with a DNA code to where only he or a select few other people could open it.
"Who is this person?" Marcus asked me as he came out of his room with a pen and paper.
"I need you to look up the daughter of the vampire household of assassins. I will pay you like I usually do when I must get extra information on someone".
"Are you planning on going on a free mission to end her life?" He asked me as he wrote down something on the paper.
"No I just have a feeling that I am going to be running into her again at some point and I would like to get as much information about this woman as I possibly could if that is the case".
I then walked out of the bar and made my way to my shift so that I could begin my next mission.
This mission was going to be an interesting one for me because this will have been the first time that I actually get to see how the humans refine their Paradisus. No matter how primitive and they are technologically compared to us they always seem to have a slight edge when it comes to combat".
After my engine started up I punched in the coordinates on my navigation computer that were the coordinates of my target planet and left the world without any hassle.
