Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: IT: The Red Festival

Once Lucas was escorted to the interrogation room, the prisoners in Eternal Hell couldn't help but fixate on the ominous entrance to that dreadful chamber. They were well-acquainted with the room's sinister reputation, and many of them had even entered it to face its horrors personally.

These prisoners had committed terrible crimes, and their continued existence in Eternal Hell was a testament to their concealment of dangerous secrets that must never be revealed to the outside world, or it was due to the World Government's strategic interests to keeping them alive.

The World Government abstained from execution, instead reserving these prisoners for future use, particularly when they needed to extract valuable information or use as a hostage against their allies.

The mere existence of the interrogation room elicited terror and unease among the prisoners. Some of them began making wagers, betting on how long it would take for Lucas, the eccentric storyteller, to cry out in agony.

"Care to bet on how long it'll take before that weirdo starts screaming?" one inmate quipped in the darkness.

"I don't know, but I can't wait to hear him scream," another prisoner chuckled, eagerly anticipating the spectacle of Lucas's torment.

A sharp scream suddenly rang out!

"Heh, what a wuss, screaming so early... hmmm?" A prisoner licked his lips and was about to sneer, before suddenly stopping.

He realized something was wrong!

"It's not his voice." Many recognized Lucas's voice, despite the short time they had lived together

In the depths of Eternal Hell, within a specially secured cell, an elderly figure bound by numerous chains suddenly stirred. Hundreds of chains resonated, clinking in unison.

The elderly inmate opened his eyes, and his scarlet gaze roamed the surroundings before locking onto the door of the interrogation room. He detected the unmistakable scent of blood.

Inside the interrogation room, frenzied banging reverberated from the closed door, as though multiple individuals were desperately trying to break free. The sound echoed through the prison, creating a cacophony of trapped souls attempting to escape their impending doom.

A pungent and familiar smell of blood began to seep from under the interrogation room's door. This development thrilled the prisoners.

"The scent of blood! It's exquisite! I yearn to witness Lucas's blood up close," one deranged inmate exclaimed.

"Blood! Finally, we can see blood again. It's marvelous, fantastic!" The prisoners, driven to madness, expressed their excitement. They grasped the bars of their iron cells, their faces contorted with crazed anticipation.

The elderly figure remained fixated on the interrogation room, his eyes flickering with intrigue as he watched the unfolding scene. However, an unexpected silence suddenly blanketed the area. The raucous cacophony within the interrogation room had abruptly ceased, and it was replaced by an eerie stillness.

A few more minutes passed before a disturbing sight became clear to the prisoners: dark red blood oozed from the base of the interrogation room's door, staining the floor and forming a pool of crimson.

The prisoners grew anxious as they watched in morbid fascination. It wasn't long before the door handle of the interrogation room turned. A booted leg emerged, stepping into the blood and making a series of clinking noises. The sound of handcuffs and chains reverberated in the background, amplifying the horrifying nature of the scene.

Editor: Man i hate ChatGPT, it does reformat the story into a more readable form, but it also removes some flavour that i have to re-inject.
